The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 38

Hearing those words, Bernard gawks at Alexandra he couldn't fathom what was running through her mind. For the girl he once knew wouldn't dare utter such words nor will she hesitate to apologize.

"Hey Alexandra, are you out of your mind?" Olivia glares

"Why? Does it hurt? Weren't you the one seeking attention? Stating that I apologize to you on my knees"

"Seeking attention?" Olivia scoffs unbelievably "Have you lost your mind?"

"You are the one who has lost her mind"

"How dare you?"

"How dare you, Olivia! Request that I, Alexandra Guerrero, Alpha of the Guerrero pack kneel for you. You must have lost your mind or perhaps those rogues did a number on you"

Olivia glares at her, that was the height of her insult.

"You've grown wings," she chuckled.

Ignoring her, Alexandra stands up walking towards Bernard, her cold eyes gazing intently at him.

"Listen to me oh great Alpha of the Guerrero pack because I won't repeat myself. I, Alexandra Guerrero would work for the Alpha ceremony so that during that ceremony you will have no choice but to step aside so that I can be the Alpha"

Bernard who has been observing her intently exhales deeply calming down.

"Do you think you can be the Alpha?"

"If someone like you seats as the Alpha why can't I?"

"You are a daring child"

"Now you know Father so you better watch out because I'm coming for that position"

"Try and take it, I dare you to"

"You should know one thing about me, I hate to be challenged, however when I am, I don't back down at all, I face it till the end. Till I see the outcome"

"There is only one possible outcome to this Alexandra" Bernard smirks. "You cannot become the Alpha because I will never give this pack, my pack to someone with dirty blood" he states

"Dirty blood?" Alexandra laughs, applauding boringly "You are a real piece of work Father, if I'm dirty blood then what are you?"

"What?"

"What are you then? Let me guess, Rotten blood"

Bernard's eyes widened. "You are pushing it, Alexandra"

"And you asked for it. How dare you try to determine who becomes the Alpha when it's rightfully mine. Do you honestly think I'm to sit and watch why you take it away"

"What will you do? Fight me"

"If I have to, I will fight you over and over again"

"What?"

"For you to demand that I apologize to a common beta only proves that you are no longer fit and capable to handle this pack"

Bernard and Olivia laugh. "Who then is fit? You"

"Without a doubt that I'm more capable and would be a better Alpha who would know exactly when to bark and when to bite"

Bernard clenches his jaw, gawking at her uncertain what to say.

"Enjoy your position while it lasts Father, but do not hold onto it any longer because right under your nose, I'll take it from you, and on that day, Olivia and you would have to kneel to your Alpha"

"Get out Alexandra!" Olivia yells and Alexandra begins to take slow yet calculated steps toward the door.

"Then you can go and rest in your room and stop bothering Olivia"

Olivia smiles. "Don't worry Dad, I can handle her" she gazes into Alexandra's eyes. "What did you say you wanted again?"

Alexandra smirks. "You don't have to marry him if you don't want to"

"I beg your pardon"

"Alexandra!" Bernard glares

"Don't be so naive Olivia"

"Naive? You're crazy. What are you talking about?"

"You know, Adam Hawthorn"

"What about him?"

"If you don't want to marry him, I can find a good man for you"

Olivia glares at her. "Who do you know? Do I look desperate in your eyes?"

"Desperate people feign not to be desperate. I'm only saying this because I'm concerned"

"Concerned?" Olivia scoffs, ridiculously "You must think that I'm a fool to believe your crap"

"I don't think you're a fool, I know that you are one"

Bernard and Olivia glared at her, enraged, Alexandra was getting on their nerves every day and they were this close to blowing up right before her.

Closing up on Alexandra, Olivia lifts her hand, attempting to slap her, Alexandra quickly grips her arm staring into her eyes and she stares back, firm and unblinking.
