"Coward" she admits, this time a little harder.
The young guard halted. "What did you just say?"
"Didn't you hear me the first time?" Alexandra said, trying to lure him closer. That way she could figure out if there was another person at the far end. Although she had a feeling no one was there.
She had a feeling they were not here but yet she still wanted to confirm.
"I heard you" Right there and then, the guard decided that Alexandra was trouble. If he stayed a little longer. She would get her into trouble with Adam and he wouldn't want that. "You should know there are guards who would love to meet you but I'm not one"
"Why? Is it because you've already submitted to your Alpha"
"Everyone has. We owe our lives to Alpha. Without him we wouldn't have pinned him down" He pointed at Nathaniel and Alexandra glared at him.
"You got lucky"
"No you got lucky" The young Guard said. "He is not looking good" He glances over at Nathaniel's injuries. It was getting worse.
"Are you here to gloat?"
"I have no reason to. I do not know you"
Alexandra grinned. "Right. You must have heard about me"
"I have a lot but now I have met. You are just like every other Alpha that have ruled this pack”
"Shut your mouth!" Alexandra said aloud.
"Keep your voice down"
"Why? Are you scared that I will wake up the entire inmates"
"You're crazy, there is no one here"
The memory shot through Alexandra's mind and she pushed it away. That memory was one of the saddest part of her life. The night he had betrayed her and killed her people. Her family. The only ones she could run to when it gets worse. It was them she sought out when she had no one. When it feels as though her world was crumbling down on her.
Adam murdered them that day and that left a mark on her body. One she couldn't ever forget and as if that wasn't enough. He hurt her and her wolf and Alexandra can never forget that. She never wanted to remember nor did she want the past to repeat itself again.
No. She wanted to evade it and so she rushed over, hoping to save them or at least die saving them. Those clan meant a lot to her. They were the only ones who took her side when Bernard mistreated her. They were the only who came through when her mother departed. It was them, always them and so she was to safe them.
But what she didn't know was that they had escaped and went into hiding before Adam attacked their clan, he rummaged the territory trying to find them but couldn't. No one saw them nor heard from them. It was as though they had disappeared into thin air. That angered him and he made a vow to trap Alexandra.
He conceived to make her believe he held them captive by spreading rumours. Guerrero pack was good for this and so it was easy. Every other thing fell into place once Alexandra recovered and heard those rumours. The only thing that came to her mind was saving them.
She was sure Adam knows she was alive and if she doesn't leave Nathaniel's side and face him. He would go for her mother's clan. He will do to them the same thing he did to them in the past and they will meet their end.
That would have devastated her. Watching them die all over again, it was heart breaking and she couldn't take it so Alexandra went back to Guerrero pack risking everything she got, including her life. The very thing that Olivia has always wanted to take away from her from the first time she set her eyes on her.
While Adam wanted to take away her position, something he believed has always belonged to him and he wouldn't face any rival if Alexandra is out of the picture. And Bernard, he hates her mother's clan, always felt inferior to them and so the hatred was passed down to her.
