Gawking at the lipstick in his hands, Alexandra couldn't get her feet to move. This was a woman's lipstick and it doesn't belong to Nathaniel.
"Could he?" She whispered, a lot of things running through her mind
"Don't jump to conclusions"
"How could he do this to me?"
Nathaniel scoffs. "Are you serious right now?"
"This is a woman's lipstick"
"This is his house"
"This may be his bedroom"
"Or it isn't and even if it is. You know nothing about his family, do you?"
"He hasn't told me anything and I haven't seen"
"You haven't asked beside Nathaniel isn't the one who allowed a certain Alpha to stay the night over in her bedroom and planned on running away with him only to get caught"
As the words rolled out of his mouth, and Alexandra takes a step backward, his words cut deep into her heart but he was right. She didn't realize how much of a terrible mate she had been to him and he endured. Nathaniel Starkov who was rumored by her pack members was nothing like they had talked about. He was the very opposite of all they said and Alexandra love that about him.
"Your words are hurting"
"That's exactly how your words will hurt him if you bring this up without any evidence"
"Even at that, you are mean"
"I didn't mean to but you left me no choice"
Alexandra smiles trying to hide the pain in her eyes. "Nathaniel isn't like that" Alexandra whispers, the lipstick doesn't mean anything. She knows the kind of person Nathaniel was and he would never hurt me as Adam did.
"He's different Alexandra, I hope you know this"
"I know and yet I lost my chance"
"You haven't lost your chance with him"
Tears crowd Alexandra's eyes. "What if I don't deserve him? He's everything that I'm not"
"Who else do you deserve then? Is it Adam or who?"
"I don't want to hurt him any further, I'm such a horrible person" Tears drop down her cheeks and she wipes them off
"You just have your battles to fight, I'm sure he will understand if he knows all of this"
"Battles? What's the use of battle if it ends up hurting the only person who has stood by my side?" Alexandra clenches her jaw tightly, fuming. She blamed herself for what happened but she knew Olivia and Adams were the masterminds behind it all.
"So this is what they wanted all along" she chuckled, frustrated.
"Who wanted?"
"Adam and Olivia. They have waited a long time to make this happen and I didn't see it"
"I guess"
"They lured him there"
"Could be"
"I'm sure that those two lured Nathaniel there and just in time, he must have heard it all"
"If he did, he would confront you"
Alexandra gasped, bewildered. "He did"
"What do you mean?"
"Nathaniel confronted me, I was just so stupid to see it"
She had cried enough last night and didn't want to continue going on like this, she wanted to talk to him so badly.
"Yes you can" He walks towards the window and glances at Nathaniel.
"What are suggesting I do?"
"Go to him"
"What if he rejects me?"
"Try again"
"Until when?"
"Until he accepts you. You don't give up and you don't stop till you get what you want now that's the Alexandra Guerrero that I know"
"Is true that you hurt him but you will be hurting him even more if you keep the truth from him. He needs to know why you said those things to him. You and Nathaniel need to talk"
"What if I lose words to say?"
"You've never lost words because you are a fighter, Alexandra. An Alpha"
"He is mine" she whispers locking eyes with him and he smiles.
"Then earn him, he keeps chasing after you now is your turn to chase after him till you've caught him"
"I will"
"Don't let him slip away Alexandra now go to him"
"You go first, there is something I need to do alone"
Without saying another word, Nathaniel fades away and Alexandra draws closer to the window, gawking intently at Nathaniel taking a sip of water. He lifts his eyes towards her window and their eyes meet causing her to quickly duck around in a corner, scared.
"This is insane, I have never been afraid before"
