The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 103

"Since you've heard the rumours, you should have also heard that I don't like to be humiliated".

"And so?"

"So I won't leave the both of you"

Adam chuckles. "You are pathetic"

"Me?"

"Yes, are you going to hit her because you got rejected"

"I wasn't rejected" Nathaniel whispers, despising that word

"Is that what you are going to tell yourself as you walk back home or when you sit in the corner"

"That's enough!" Alexandra states a bit loud wanting nothing more than to put an end to Adams' hurtful word.

"Please go Nathaniel"

"I told you not to ever say my name with your lips" He whispers as the memory of their kiss runs through his mind but he pushes it aside.

Alexandra made a fool of him and he didn't want to have anything to do with her.

"You are really something else Alexandra" Nathaniel laughs. "I must commend you though before leaving, you are really a piece of work"

"A piece of work, how?"

"Someone would think you are innocent and good but what they don't realise is that you know exactly how to play your game"

"I don't know what you are talking about?"

"For once in your life Alexandra, be honest with yourself then maybe all of this will end"

"I really don't know what you are talking about" she lies not knowing that Nathaniel could see right through her.

Despite staying in his lane and doing only the things that she wanted, Nathaniel had taken his time to know what sort of person she was and he had realised, she loves to play dumb than face the truth.

Alexandra wasn't the sort of woman who loves to involve you in her plans and somewhere in his heart, he wanted all of this to be a dream but it was real and Alexandra was hurting him in a manner he never expected after he had saved her life.

"Yes you do! You know what I'm talking about. How couldn't I see this? How could you have deceived me so easily? Was it your looks or smile, what is it that made me stay by your side Alexandra Guerrero"

A lot of emotions runs through her eyes sending tears to crwal up the corners of her eyes, Alexandra blinks, hoping for him to stop or she might lose it. She hurt him but his words were sharper and it cut deeper each time they had a misunderstanding but this has been the longest and it scared her.

It will kill her to loose him, he saved her life and stood by her side when no one else did. Nathaniel was the only friend and the first person to take her to an inn, he made her feel things she couldn't explain, awoken her wolf, beat up those mobs and because of him she had won the Alpha position. He was her source of strength and she didn't want to let him go.

"I don't know"

"You do!" he yells

"A lot"

"I don't know Nathaniel"

"Well I do, you're selfish and you don't care about anyone other than yourself"

"I don't understand what you are saying? There was never a plan, it just so happened that I want Adam"

"Alright then you played me"

"I didn't"

"Was that why you didn't want to ever go to my pack?" He asked as the memory of the day of the Alpha election ceremony strikes her mind.

"How could you say that? I was going to go when–" realising herself, Alexandra chokes on her words.

Adam was by her side so she couldn't possibly bring up the Alpha election ceremony and even though going to Crimson pack hasn't crossed her mind in a long time, Alexandra was going to say yes the time he asked.

She wanted nothing more than to see his own people, see another territory while staying by his side.

"I will never forget this day Alexandra Guerrero, you played me for a fool and this will forever be in my heart"

"You will only be hurting yourself"

Nathaniel states quickly "And what's it to you? You already have your Adam right by your side"

"Is nothing to me"

"You made the wrong choice when you picked me and made a fool of me" Nathaniel steps closer to her, Alexandra feels her muscles grow weak, her heart beat accelerates.

"What's he going to do now?" She thinks to herself, fear grips her.
