The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 756

Looking at the slip of paper carrying such heavy sentiment, Leilani met Ethan's eyes, seeing the genuine worry written all over his face. Warmth blossomed in her chest.

She carefully tucked the note away and nodded solemnly. "Thank you, Ethan. I'll keep it safe, and I'll be extra careful."

Ethan seemed to breathe a small sigh of relief as she accepted it. A gentle smile returned to his lips. "Good. Safety comes first when you're traveling."

"I'll be waiting for you to come back and give me my belated birthday present."

Thinking about her boyfriend, Ethan had honestly been curious about the guy for a while. He wanted to see exactly where he fell short compared to this man.

Just as he was about to cautiously broach the topic, a soft knock came from the door before it was pushed open.

Callahan Langley, dressed in a sharply tailored dark suit, stood in the doorway. His gaze landed on Leilani instantly.

Seeing the cozy atmosphere between the two, a smooth, confident smile graced his lips.

"Looks like I got here just in time?"

Callahan's presence commanded the room, his demeanor effortlessly poised.

He looked at Ethan, gave a slight nod, and spoke with calm authority. "Hello. You must be the childhood friend Leilani mentioned?"

Surprised, she stood up. "Callahan? What are you doing here?"

She naturally slipped into introductions. "This is Ethan Jenkins, a friend of mine. Ethan, this is my boyfriend, Callahan Langley."

Ethan stood up as well, his eyes briefly meeting Callahan's.

A flash of surprise crossed his face—he clearly recognized the man—but he quickly regained his composure. Neither overly deferential nor arrogant, he extended a hand, his smile polite and refined.

"Mr. Langley. I've heard a lot about you."

"I'm Ethan Jenkins."
