The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 501

Leilani slowly picked at the fish with her fork, asking casually, "Because of company business?"

"Of course not!" Yvonne lowered her voice, speaking with an air of mystery. "It's because of Tamara Sloan!"

Leilani paused with her fork and glanced up.

Yvonne leaned in closer and whispered, "Tamara hasn't been back to the Sherwoods for a while now. My brother said she went back to the Sloans! Leilani, don't you think that's weird? Ever since she married Milford, she's been clinging to our family like a leech. Now, even though neither my mom nor my brother kicked her out, she suddenly insists on staying at the Sloans." She wrinkled her nose. "Who knows if she's plotting another stunt..."

Leilani's eyes flickered slightly, but her tone remained calm. "Her business has nothing to do with us."

Yvonne sighed. "True. My brother is going to divorce her sooner or later anyway."

She obediently went back to eating her dinner, but couldn't stay quiet for long. "Still, Tamara has been acting really strange lately..." She lowered her voice again. "I heard from my mom that a few days before she left, she was secretly throwing up in the bathroom. She claimed it was just a stomach bug..."

Leilani paused, frowning as she looked up at Yvonne.

Throwing up? Milford and Tamara were newlyweds; if she was pregnant, it would be perfectly normal.

However, as the victim and the sister, Yvonne certainly wouldn't be happy to hear this news. After all, even after Milford found out that Tamara was the culprit who hurt his sister, he still managed to roll into bed with her. His so-called deep affection was nothing more than a joke.
