The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 382

"Mr. Watson... I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt your conversation. It was my fault; I've upset you. Please accept my apology. I'll leave right now."

Tamara lifted her head, tears teetering on her lashes, looking fragile and pathetic. "Interrupting you was my mistake. Please don't take your anger out on my brother because of me."

Seeing this, Clive immediately stepped in front of her, his tone hostile. "Mr. Watson, that's enough! Target me if you want, but Tamara is my sister. You have no right to lecture her! I'll go home and talk to my dad about the investment I promised. Until then, treat us with some respect!"

Mr. Watson looked at Clive, utterly speechless at how blinded the young man was by Tamara. He shook his head, too tired to argue further, and turned to leave.

Before stepping out, he glanced back at Tamara and dropped a cold warning. "Ms. Sloan, don't be so arrogant as to think everyone else is an idiot. That little scheming act of yours? Aside from Clive, everyone sees right through it. You'd best watch yourself."

“Bang!”

The door slammed shut.

Tamara's tears stopped instantly. In the corner where Clive couldn't see, her eyes turned cold and venomous as she stared at the closed door. Who did this Mr. Watson think he was, daring to treat her like that? Was Leilani pulling strings behind the scenes?
