The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 374

Tamara wasn't someone to be trifled with. Even before her previous scandals were exposed, she had dared to hire a hitman. If she was pushed too far into a corner, who knew what she might do?

Yvonne was afraid Tamara would act like a cornered animal and try to hurt Leilani again. Judie didn't know about the hitman incident involving Leilani and Yvonne, so she naturally didn't think that far ahead.

Yvonne looked at Leilani, hesitating on whether to explain the full extent of the danger.

Leilani gave Yvonne a reassuring look, smiling as she comforted her. "It's fine. Tamara can't make any waves right now."

She had heard that Tamara's life in the Sherwood family wasn't exactly easy these days. Tamara was likely too busy trying to salvage her standing with the Sherwoods to focus her energy on anyone else.

Judie snorted, backing Leilani up. "Don't worry, Yvonne. If she dares to pull anything next time, I won't let her off so easily! You forget what my family does."

Judie wasn't bluffing. The Fulton Group was a powerhouse in this City. Aside from being slightly less influential than the Langley family, they were a force to be reckoned with.

As they were talking, Luke ran in, sweating profusely. His styled hair was plastered to his forehead. He bowed apologetically to the group. "Ms. Fulton, Ms. Sloan, Ms. Sherwood, I am so sorry about today! We didn't expect such an incident to occur. Please rest assured, our company will deal with this matter seriously!"

As a working professional herself, Judie didn't make a habit of tormenting others. Her cold demeanor earlier had been solely for Tamara and Carola's benefit—to teach them a lesson.

Judie waved her hand nonchalantly. "Alright, no need to be so dramatic. We said we wouldn't pursue it, so we won't. We haven't taken it to heart."

Seeing that Judie wasn't going to make things difficult for him, Luke breathed a sigh of relief. He eagerly presented a pile of concert merchandise and limited-edition albums as a peace offering before excusing himself.
