The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 356

“Hey, Yvonne. You’ve known Leilani for so long, you must know all about the drama with the Sloan family, right?”

Yvonne knew more than just the drama; she was one of the collateral victims of the Sloan family’s mess. However, there was a significant age gap between Yvonne and the older Sloan brothers, so she rarely interacted with them. Before her accident, the ones she dealt with most were Tamara and Leilani.

At the thought of Tamara, Yvonne’s expression instantly turned cold. “Of course I know...”

Once the floodgates opened, Yvonne began to vent to Judie about the chaos in her own home. She talked about how Tamara was the reason she had been paralyzed for four years, and the mastermind behind Leilani being framed and sent to prison for just as long.

“And here’s the kicker.” Yvonne gripped her coffee cup tight, her knuckles turning white, a bitter smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. “She caused me to be paralyzed for four years, yet my family didn’t hold her accountable. They even protected her. And just a few days ago... she became my sister-in-law.”

Judie’s eyes widened in disbelief. “What? After everything she did to you, your brother didn’t bring up divorce?”

Yvonne scoffed, remembering how her father, Fitch, had defended Tamara at the wedding. The anger bubbled up inside her. “Nope. My dad still thinks she’s gentle and kind, the perfect daughter-in-law.”

Judie looked incredulous. “Is your dad blind? Or did that Tamara woman put a spell on him?”

Any normal person would immediately seek justice if their daughter was bullied, wouldn’t they? How could Fitch turn around and protect the culprit?

Yvonne sighed. “Judie, you have no idea. I’m scared to even go home now. As soon as I walk in, I see Tamara acting all innocent and sweet, and it makes me sick to my stomach. If Leilani hadn’t taken me in, I’d probably be sleeping on the streets right now. But honestly, I’d rather sleep on the pavement than go back there.”

Yvonne’s resistance and disgust toward the Sherwood household were palpable. Judie sighed, looking at her friend with sympathy.

Then, she patted her chest loyally. “Don’t worry, Yvonne. Since you’re Leilani’s friend, you’re my friend. Later on, if Leilani is busy or not home, you can come stay at my place. You’re so sweet and polite, my mom would definitely love you!”
