The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 280

Thinking of the guilty things she had done, Carola pointed at Leilani and screamed. "Lance! She's a liar! She's no miracle doctor! She's just Leilani from Tamara's family!"

Lance was stunned and instinctively looked at Leilani.

Leilani methodically organized her medical kit, the corners of her lips curling up slightly. "Ms. Conner, do we know each other?"

Carola trembled with rage. "Stop pretending! I don't believe you didn't know this was my house before you came!"

Her reaction was extreme. Compared to Leilani's calm composure, Lance felt Carola was being far too reckless. In front of everyone, if there was an issue, it should be discussed properly. Making a scene wouldn't solve anything.

Lance's face darkened. "Carola! Dr. Sloan is Grandma's honored guest. No matter what, you should speak respectfully!"

Carola looked at her brother in disbelief, unable to accept that the brother who usually doted on her was actually siding with Leilani.

"Lance! She's a fraud! She was in prison for four years. How could she know medicine? Why are you helping her speak? Why aren't you helping me?"

Leilani let out a soft laugh, lifting her eyes to look at Carola. Her gaze was cool. "Ms. Conner, whether I am a liar or not will be proven by whether Felicity can stand up in a moment."

She paused, her tone laden with meaning. "As for you... you're so agitated. Are you afraid I'll cure Felicity, or are you afraid of... something else?"

Carola's face went pale, and she clenched her fingers tight.

Of course she was afraid! She was afraid Leilani would expose the fact that she had bought paid trolls! No one in her family knew about it. If they found out she had done those things for Tamara, she would definitely be in deep trouble.

Lance sensed something was off and frowned at Carola. "Carola, what exactly is going on between you and Dr. Sloan?"
