The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 223

Leilani smiled. "Okay." She watched Jarvis leave, the corners of her mouth slightly upturned.

However, the moment Jarvis was out of sight, Leilani's expression turned dark. Suppressing the anger bubbling inside her, she took the elevator up to her apartment. She placed the food container on the dining table and pulled out her phone. Her finger hovered over the screen for two seconds before she finally went to her block list and dragged out Josiah Sloan's number.

When the call connected, Leilani didn't wait for him to speak. Her voice was cold, barely containing her rage.

"Josiah, your family is absolutely disgusting! When did I ever agree to a blind date with Padgett? Since when is the Sloan Group doing so poorly that Hackett has to pimp out his daughter for investment? Is a piece of trash like Padgett really the best he could do? Tell Hackett to stop setting me up. If there's a next time, I won't be polite!"

"What are you talking about?"

Leilani's barrage of insults left Josiah confused. However, the image of Leilani being unreasonable was deeply raid in his mind. He frowned, his tone unhappy as he instinctively reprimanded her.

"Leilani, watch your mouth."

"Watch my mouth?" Leilani scoffed. "Did you tell Padgett to 'watch his mouth' when you sent him to harass me? What, are you playing innocent now?"

Josiah paused, his voice deepening. "I don't know what you're talking about."
