The Playboy’s Downfall novel Chapter 9

GOD KNOWS, how many times Zero cursed inside his mind when he saw Isla who stayed beautiful in her yellow floral dress. Her boobies were too obvious because of their hugeness and her curves, damn, it’s fascinating.

He followed her by his gaze when the woman left. Damn, that butt, he cursed again.

“You looked like a pervert while you stare at my sister,” Apollo break his thoughts.

His forehead creased and looked at Apollo. “There’s nothing wrong about it, right? I have eyes to see God’s creation—what the hell, dude?!” Zero exclaimed when Apollo slapped him in the face, but not that hard.

Apollo laughed. “Next time, I’ll punch you in the face. I’m warning you, Zero,” he said.

Zero smirked. “I’m warning you too. Don’t ever lay a hand on my cousin,” Zero uttered.

Apollo scoffed. “Not a chance,” he replied and continue what he was doing.

Zero then finds a place to sit. After a while, he entertained himself by staring at the staff who was near him. Well, the woman keeps on looking at him ever since he sat on the wooded bench.

He bit his lower lip and wet it with his tongue after. The woman gulped and almost trip because she was not looking for her steps.

Zero laughed, flirtatiously… catching the woman’s attention. However, someone blocked his view. When he looked up, it was his cousin.

“You’re flirting again, old Zero?”

Zero frowned. “Call me old Zero and I will fucking kill—”

“I will kill you first, asshole.”

Zero smirked and diverted his gaze to the lady beside Becca. “So, we’ll have snacks now?” he asked.

“Why? Are you hungry?” Becca asked.

“I am. And I almost have a snack if you didn’t show up,” he said.

“Yuck! What a dick—”

“Your word, lady,” Zero warned her.

“Enough with that let’s go to the kitchen. Mom cooked something for us,” Isla cut in.

Zero met her eyes and she doesn’t like the looks of it. She turned her back and started to walk away.

Becca who saw it and smell something fishy went closer to her cousin. “I saw that. You like her?” she asked as they started to walk.

“She’s beautiful but too young for me,” he just replied.

Becca rolled her eyes. “The question is answerable by ‘yes or no’. Your answer is not in the option, duh!”

Zero put his hands inside his pockets and glanced at her. “Maybe yes, maybe no,” he uttered and smirked.

“Yeah, great, old Zero,” Becca blurted and run towards Isla.

Zero just shook his head.

ISLA DOESN’T know what to feel when she saw Zero staring—flirting with the staff. Her eyes were too keen when it comes to Zero and she doesn’t like the way how they exchanged their gazes.

It sent something horny inside her mind.

“Princess Isla Peterson of the United States of America. Your face is like a mashed pumpkin—I can’t predict your true emotions. If this has something to do with Zero—”

She glared at Becca which makes the woman stop talking. “Your voice is too loud and isn’t aware that Zero is just a few meters away from us.”

Becca laughed. “Oh! My bad,” she mocked.

She just shook her head.

“Munchkins!” her mom greeted them when they entered the kitchen. “Have a seat and let’s eat.”

The two ladies smiled and pulled a chair.

“And oh! Please call your brother, princess. Please.”

Isla smiled and nodded. “I’ll be back,” she said.

On her way out she frowned when she can’t see Zero. Isn’t he on our tail? I thought he followed us, she said to herself.

She shook her head and was about to turn left when she suddenly bumped into something hard—it was Zero chests!

“Uhm… Sorry,” she said and slightly bowed her head.

“Where are you going?” Zero asked.

“I-I’m—" shit self! Get back to your senses, she cursed inside her, “I’m gonna call my brother—” she didn’t finish her words when Zero suddenly pressed his lips into hers.

It was just a quick kiss but it sent her haywire. It seems like a world inside her, crashed. She was stunned and statue on the ground.

Zero bites his lower lip and stares at her. “Your brother climbed upstairs to change his clothes,” he informed but it didn’t sink in into Isla’s mind.

The effect of the kiss was too powerful that she didn’t even notice that Zero dragged her gently toward the kitchen.

She just pulled back to her senses when her mom called her name.

“Princess?”

“M-Mom…” she stuttered.

“I told you to call your brother but why are you with—”

“Apollo just changed his clothes and we bumped in the hallway.”

That ‘Mi Reina’ thing is bugging her. She knew what it means… My queen. But why does he need to call her that?

She shook her head when they reached their table. He couldn’t assume things that were impossible to understand. She doesn’t want to think naughty—yes, she admits, she always imagining steamy things between her and Zero—she even dreamed about it. But she knew she was leaving in the real world and won’t ever have Zero.

“Dude, you fucking dare to touch my—”

“Apollo?” She glared at him. “What’s wrong with you?” she blurted.

Apollo glared at her. “This will be the last time, young lady—”

“Why do you need to threaten your sister?” It was Becca.

Apollo pinched the bridge of his nose. “Why do people need to interrupt me when I am talking?” Apollo said, feeling irritated.

“Because you’re blabbering useless and stupid things,” it was Becca again.

Apollo frowned and looked at Becca. “Why do you need to—”

“Just stop it, Apollo,” she asserted.

“There it goes again with the interruptions,” Apollo uttered and shook his head.

Zero let out a soft chuckle and tapped Apollo’s shoulder as he sat beside him. “Chill, dude. Becca was right. You better admit it to yourself. And you’re also being unreasonable. Again, how am I supposed to hold your sister’s hand if I will not use my hand? Not unless you want me to use my tongue?”

Apollo turned to Zero and shove his hand away from his shoulder.

“Are you fucking nuts?”

Zero grinned and shook his head. “Nope. I am serious.”

Apollo gritted his teeth and clenched his fist.

Zero should be aware that she’s just near them and was listening about it. Like what the hell, why does he need to mention the tongue? Now, she can’t stop herself not thinking about him, licking her fucking wet pussy.

“Can you just shut up?” Isla exclaimed. Good thing she didn’t catch attention since the guests were mesmerized by the live band. “The two of you, are you going to destroy this special day of mine?” Anger can be visible in her voice—pretending to hide what she truly feels.

Zero looked at her, plainly. Apollo heaved a deep sigh. “I’m sorry, princess,” he said.

She rolled her eyes and turned to her friend. “Let’s change clothes for the after-party,” she said,

Becca nodded. “Better than watching those monkeys start a useless argument,” she said and stood up.

“What did you say? Are you saying that we’re monkey—”

“Enough with that, dude. Just chill. Come on,” Zero grabbed a glass and poured wine into it, “let’s start with this one,” he added and tossed the wine at once.

Isla shook her head in disbelief and they left to change their clothes.
