The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 2000

"?"

Stella looked up, meeting the bear's adorable, cartoonish eyes, and then glanced at the balloon bobbing above her.

It was a pristine white flower with a bright yellow smiley face in the center. Glowing in the sunlight and swaying in the breeze, the smiley face looked incredibly warm and radiant.

Just then, the Strawberry Bear held out its paw, revealing a small note.

It read: "The sun will always rise tomorrow, and the pain will pass. There are still so many people in this world who love you."

Handing her the note, the bear turned and walked away, its heavy footsteps carrying a distinct sense of reluctance.

Watching it leave, Stella felt a profound thump in her chest. She instinctively clutched the note tight in her hand.

Once Charlotte returned and led Stella away.

The Strawberry Bear finally emerged from behind a large tree and pulled off the heavy mascot head.

Thick beads of sweat poured down the man's face. His deep, ink-black eyes stared longingly at the girl's retreating figure.

Back at the apartment.

Stella sat quietly on the sofa, her vacant eyes glued to the TV.

The sunflower balloon from the Strawberry Bear was still tied securely around her wrist.

"Is that string uncomfortable? Let me untie it for you."

Charlotte walked over, eyeing the balloon, and reached out to loosen it.

But the second she moved, Stella flinched away, guarding the balloon like a precious treasure.

"Okay, I'll leave it." Charlotte smiled, her tone as gentle as one would use with a child. "There's someone outside who wants to see you."

Hearing that, Stella's eyes fluttered, and her pretty brow furrowed in distress.

She was still terrified of seeing anyone else.

But given her current state, isolating herself was the worst thing she could do.
