The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1992

8 PM.

The hospital was still bustling with people, but the corridor outside the operating room was eerily quiet.

Roger leaned against the cold wall in his thin shirt, his head lowered. His damp hair clung to his cheeks, radiating an aura of utter devastation.

"I used acupuncture on her. She'll be fine," Charlotte said, standing near the doors. She held her pregnant belly, looking just as exhausted.

"Did you trace the online leak?"

Roger slowly raised his head. His bloodshot eyes were filled with a chilling, predatory glint.

"Yeah."

Anthony supported Charlotte, his expression icy. "Lottie erased all of Stella's records from Lamplighter Village years ago. It's impossible for a normal person to get files this detailed."

"A normal person definitely couldn't."

Charlotte lowered her gaze, a cold smirk playing on her lips. "Those details were recorded by the forensic examiner."

A forensic examiner?

Hearing that, something snapped in Roger's mind.

After a brief pause, Charlotte coldly ordered, "Have someone bring Veronica to me."

"Alright."

Anthony immediately notified Hans. The response came back that Veronica was at the airport, about to board an international flight.

"I want her brought here, dead or alive."

Anthony frowned, his deep voice radiating absolute authority. "Understood?"

"Yes, Boss."

Hans responded respectfully and rushed to the airport. Before long, he spotted Veronica in the waiting lounge.

Veronica was sitting in a chair, scrolling through the news on her phone.

The scandal was spreading like wildfire.

Stella was completely ruined in Cabinda. Everyone knew her name now.

If the Gates family cared about their reputation at all, they would cut all ties with her.

A prodigy from the psychology department?

Let's see how she manages to cling to Roger now.

Just as Veronica was reveling in her victory, two dark figures loomed over her.
