The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1821

Anthony looked down, noticing the faint red mark his tight grip had left on the young woman's wrist. His expression shifted, and he quickly released her.

G5 couldn't help but chuckle, her face lined with a warm, maternal affection. "Don't worry, the cure is completely safe."

Anthony pressed his lips into a thin line, his features drawn tight with anxiety. He was terrified that this was all an elaborate smokescreen—a lie she had spun just to protect the babies at the cost of her own life.

"I want Charlotte to live a long, healthy life just as much as you do," G5 said, offering a gentle smile. "If you don't trust Charlotte, surely you can trust me?"

Charlotte opened her mouth but found she had no words. It wasn't like she made a habit of lying to him... right? And now he didn't even trust her!

"Thank you for your hard work, Ma'am." Anthony managed to force a strained smile. He tilted his head to look at Charlotte, his gaze softening into absolute devotion. "Let's begin."

G5 gave a helpless, fond smile. After meticulously sterilizing the area, she pierced the girl's skin with the needle, slowly pushing the cool liquid into her veins. It took less than thirty seconds for the entire dosage to be administered.

"It's over," G5 said softly.

She tossed the syringe into the medical waste bin and peeled off her gloves. Without her realizing it, her aged eyes had filled with tears. "Finally... you're safe," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.

"Thank you, Ma'am."

Knowing exactly the weight behind the older woman's tears, Charlotte stood up. Seeing this, Anthony immediately rose to his feet beside her.

Overcome with emotion, the couple stood side by side and bowed deeply, their posture conveying a profound, respectful gratitude.

"What are you two doing?" G5 was startled and immediately reached out to steady them, her vision blurring with tears. "Stand up, please."

"Ma'am," Charlotte said, shaking her head. She looked at G5 with unwavering earnestness, her voice slightly hoarse. "You protected the cure my grandmother left behind. You saved my mother."

"You dragged yourself through your own illness to finish this research, saving me and the babies I'm carrying."
