The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1754

"I wouldn't dare!"

Roger paused, fingers still pressed to his brow, and let out a sigh that was half a laugh and half resignation. He’d never seen anyone own up to backing down with so much confidence before.

"Are you deleting it or not?" Kenneth's glare could have burned a hole in the table. "Don't make me get on my knees and beg."

"I could… but it's going to cost you." Charlotte cocked her head and crooked her finger, her grin all sly intentions.

Kenneth edged closer, suspicious but desperate. "What do you want?"

When Charlotte explained, Kenneth shook his head right away. "My mom and grandpa would kill me."

"Okay, then." Charlotte didn’t bother arguing. She just picked up her phone and pulled up Emily’s page.

"Wait!" Kenneth sounded panicked as he watched Charlotte’s thumb hover over the screen. "Alright, alright. Deal."

Charlotte gave a quick, satisfied smile and deleted the photo as promised.

"You…" Kenneth didn't get a chance to finish. Charlotte didn’t even let him celebrate before she cut in, voice sweet but dangerous. "Just so you know, I still have all the other pictures. That wasn’t the only one."

Kenneth stared at her, speechless. Roger looked away, trying not to laugh.

If anyone thought they could outplay Charlotte, it was clear they had no idea what they were up against.

"I heard you already picked your bridesmaids," Roger said after a moment, his voice low. "Your two friends?"

Charlotte nodded, her eyes narrowing with a hint of mischief. "You know them. Shirley and Stella."
