The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1599

“Sure,” Karan said, a sharp, mocking smile tugging at her lips. Jealousy and dislike flickered in her eyes. Her words came out harsh and direct. “Let’s just see who actually deserves it.”

Shirley frowned, a little confused by how intensely Karan seemed to hate her. Was Karan honestly worried she’d lose her spot as an exchange student?

Shirley knew she had barely practiced the third round’s skills. She’d already accepted that she might lose, and she figured Karan must realize that too.

Watching Karan walk away, Shirley bit her lip, her brows pulled together in frustration. How could someone she used to admire be so obsessed with jealousy?

Without another thought, Shirley mentally erased Karan from her “idols” list. No way did she want to like someone who acted so petty and two-faced.

Karan left the lounge. On her way to the competition hall, she ran into Pandora, who was there to cheer her on.

“Karan, what’s with that face? You look like you just got dumped.”

“I’m fine,” Karan replied stiffly, every muscle in her body tense. All she could think about was Shirley and whether she’d found a way to cheat.

“I saw the rankings from the last two rounds. You and Shirley are tied for first…” Pandora’s tone dropped, her eyes freezing at the mention of Shirley. “But the third round is your specialty. You’ll win, right?”

Karan just stood there, fists balling at her sides, her whole aura heavy and dark. This was supposed to be her best event, but it was hard to feel confident if someone was playing dirty.

“If I don’t get the exchange spot, no one else deserves it either,” Karan muttered, eyes down. She gave Pandora’s shoulder a pat, her words cold enough to send a chill through the air. “And as for Shirley…”

“She never stood a chance against you anyway,” Pandora chimed in. “After today, she won’t even be able to hold a candle to you.”

“I’m definitely looking forward to it,” Pandora added, smiling at Karan, satisfaction written all over her face.

Someone who belongs at the bottom should stay there. Trying to climb higher? Please. She’ll only get hurt.
