The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1435

Charlotte landed softly on the bed, the room spinning for a split second before the covers caught her. Warm light from the lamp spilled over everything, and Anthony stood right in front of her, looking down. His dark eyes narrowed with mischief, and he slowly undid each button of his shirt with those impossibly elegant hands, his gaze fixed on her the whole time, clearly amused by her nerves.

“Getting nervous now?” he teased.

The last button popped. He shrugged off his shirt, showing off a toned, enviable body that made Charlotte’s cheeks burn. Anthony caught her staring and raised an eyebrow. “You weren’t so shy when you were checking out other guys on your phone, talking about how great they looked.”

She could almost taste the jealousy. Charlotte pressed her lips together. There was nothing she could do but sigh and endure it.

He leaned closer, now kneeling on the bed, his arms trapping her in place. “So, compare for real this time. Who looks better?” His voice dropped, teasing hard. “If you answer wrong, I might have to… do something about it.”

“Do what?” Charlotte eased back but let her fingers rest on his shoulders. She tilted her head, her eyes playful. She let her hands drift, not entirely innocent.

Anthony’s body had always been flawless, not a hint of extra weight, all muscle and heat. Honestly, touching him was more addictive than she wanted to admit.

“Stop messing around,” he breathed, grabbing her hand. He seemed tense all over, his voice suddenly rough. “I’m actually jealous. I’m mad, Charlotte.”

He sounded almost like he was complaining, which made her grin. A smile slowly spread across her face. Without saying a word, she reached up, took his chin, and kissed the corner of his lips.

“Still jealous?” she murmured with a smile.
