The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 254

After hanging up the phone, Ellinor flopped on the couch, continuing to munch on chips while watching TV.

Twenty minutes later, Belinda rushed in, practically dragging her out to go shopping for Theo’s birthday gift.

Ellinor was at a loss. Why on earth would she need to get a gift for Theo?

She’s just a stand-in actress, playing the part of Theo's wife for free, and now she’s expected to buy him a gift?

...

Downtown shopping street.

VK Mall.

Belinda was deeply engrossed in choosing from a luxury store's dazzling array of exquisite accessories.

“Ellinor, what kind of gift do you think Theo would like?” Belinda asked.

Nonchalantly trying on sunglasses, Ellinor casually replied while checking herself in the mirror, “No idea.”

Belinda furrowed her brows, turned to her, and said exasperatedly, “Ellinor, don’t you care at all about Theo? Don’t you ever try to figure out his likes and dislikes?”

Ellinor put on the sunglasses, raising an eyebrow, “Why should I figure out his likes? Is Theo some kind of rare species? Will studying him get me a Nobel Prize?”

Belinda stood there stunned; this was the first time she saw a woman so uninterested in Theo.

“You’re something else, Ellinor. It’s this aloof attitude that drives a man to conquer. No wonder Theo is so into you!

Into her?

Since when did Theo become infatuated with her? Belinda always loved to imagine things that didn't exist!

“Ellinor, if you don’t want to pick a gift, just buy him a shirt or something. As long as it’s from you, Theo will definitely like it! I know a brand, and the men's clothes are super stylish! Come on, let’s go check it out!”

Just as Ellinor was putting back the sunglasses, Belinda dragged her into a designer menswear store.

“Ellinor, what do you think of this outfit for Theo?”

Ellinor couldn't be less interested in the finely designed, high-end menswear. She shook her head and said, “I think he has plenty of clothes like these at home, and he has so many he can’t even wear them all. He doesn’t need more of the same.”

“Yes, of course, Theo has enough clothes, but if it’s from you, it’ll be different! Ellinor, as his wife, you can’t possibly give him any gift on his birthday, right?”

Belinda’s words reminded Ellinor that she was playing the role of Theo's wife, so she should get him a gift. That way, she could avoid being caught out by the Blanchet family!

Ellinor frowned, her gaze suddenly landing on the clearance sale sign in the menswear store across.

Buying a gift for Theo with his own money seemed a bit off to her. So, Ellinor broke her usual habit and used her own money.

Taking the change from the cashier, Ellinor said to Belinda: "I've bought the gift! Let's go; I'll treat you to some bubble tea!”

Belinda looked a bit awkward; she could hardly imagine the look on Theo's face when he saw the gift Ellinor had bought for him...

UU Coffee.

“Ellinor, you really are unlike any other woman!” Belinda said while sipping on her coffee.

Ellinor casually asked calmly, “Really? How so?”

Belinda looked at her in surprise, “Other women would seize every opportunity to splurge on Theo, but you are giving him such a cheap gift! Yet, he still cares so much about you; it's simply amazing!”

Does Theo care about her?

Ellinor laughed, “Even if the gift is cheap, the thought counts!”

Belinda looked confused again, “But as women, shouldn’t we be trying our best to win our boyfriend's heart? Aren’t you afraid that he won’t like you if you treat Theo this way?”

Ellinor looked up at Belinda and said, “There are two things in this world that we can never hold onto.
