The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1923

From that day on, Ivy took it upon herself to deliver hearty meals to the elderly couple every day, hoping to make up for her previous oversight in the kitchen.

The grandparents' health improved significantly, and after a thorough check-up, the doctor informed that they were ready to be discharged.

Balfour put his business affairs on hold to pick up his grandparents in person from the hospital.

"Grandma, be careful," Ivy said gently, as she assisted Alyssa into the back seat of the car, and then helped Dean settle in beside his wife.

Today, there was no chauffeur, so Balfour took the wheel, and Ivy took the passenger seat, as the elderly couple chatted softly in the back.

"How have you two been managing alone at home these past few days?" Alyssa asked, her eyes twinkling with contentment as she looked at her grandson and granddaughter-in-law in the front, appearing to be a perfect match.

She had worried about Balfour's matrimonial prospects for a long time, but now it seemed everything had turned out for the best.

Truth be told, it had been mostly Ivy by herself at home; Balfour hadn't come back much.

Ivy glanced at Balfour, noting his lack of response, and promptly took on the role of the dutiful wife, smiling back at Alyssa, "Grandma, we're doing just fine! Don't worry!"

Alyssa's smile grew warmer at Ivy's sensible reply. "Ivy, I’m glad to hear that you're taking such good care of Balfour. Now that your union is settled, maybe it's time to start thinking about having a baby? Your grandfather and I are eager to meet our great-grandchildren."

Ivy's face froze, and she sent a pleading look towards Balfour.

Please, she had no idea how to respond to this!

"Grandma, there's plenty of time for having kids," Balfour said, his expression unchanging as if the topic were as mundane as the weather.

After ensuring the grandparents were settled, Ivy headed to her own room. But as she reached the door, she realized she couldn't stay there anymore.

With the grandparents away, she had moved to a nearby guest room for convenience, but now that they had returned, staying in the guest room would give the game away!

She had no choice but to move back into Balfour's room.

Sighing, Ivy collected her belongings and returned to the master bedroom. She pulled out a comfortable set of pajamas and began to change.

Just as she lifted her shirt, revealing a hint of her smooth skin, the bedroom door suddenly swung open.

Turning around, she and Balfour, standing in the doorway, both froze in shock!
