Veronica nodded assertively. "I'm positive! My brother hasn't been home. Even if he did, he'd have gone to see Ellinor first, not come home. If you're looking for my brother, you're better off checking with Ellinor."
In a state of worry, Belinda sighed. "That's where I've just come from."
Veronica sensed something was amiss. "What's happened? Is Ellinor looking for my brother?"
Belinda carefully glanced towards Marissa, who was engrossed in watering her flowers, oblivious to their conversation. Once reassured, Belinda whispered, "Well, here's the thing. Ellinor gave birth today, and then..."
"What? She gave birth?!"
Veronica's excited outburst caught Marissa's attention.
Marissa turned to them with a furrowed brow. "What are you girls gossiping about? What's this about giving birth?"
Belinda discreetly nudged Veronica to prevent her from spilling the beans and then casually replied to Marissa, "Oh, it's nothing! We're just chatting about a game. My character leveled up."
Marissa shrugged nonchalantly, losing interest in their conversation.
Then, Belinda pulled Veronica a bit further away and complained. "Why were you so loud just now?"
Veronica was puzzled. "Why can't I say it out loud? It's great news that Ellinor gave birth. Grandma and Grandpa would be thrilled."
Belinda sighed deeply. "The problem is that there's a bit of a situation now. Uncle has inexplicably taken the newborn and vanished."
Veronica wrinkled her forehead, looking bewildered. "My brother took the baby away? Why would he do that? Is he playing a prank on Ellinor?"
"No, Uncle wouldn't joke about this. The babies were born prematurely, and there are triplets. Their weight at birth was too low. The baby he took is in danger."
Triplets! Veronica was momentarily thrilled at the news, but then her expression quickly turned grave. "Where's Ellinor now? Does she know?"
"I got it."
With that, the two left the Blanchet family home and headed for Blanchet Corporation.
...
Byran arrived home alone, only to hear the news that Ellinor had been rushed to the hospital when her water broke. Worried, he hurried to the hospital.
After asking at the nurses' station, he found Ellinor's room and knocked on the door.
Ida answered the door.
Byran was initially worried, but after seeing Ida's face, his expression darkened and his handsome face clouded over.
