Ellinor's blunt questions turned Sophia's face pale. She feigned innocence and shook her head. "No way! Ellinor, how could you accuse me without any proof?"
Ellinor snickered. "Framing you? If you haven't done what I said, I wouldn't waste my time on you. You think I'm jealous because you married this guy? Let me tell you, I'm not jealous! If you can snatch him away with a marriage certificate, be my guest! If I'm upset about it, then I'm no longer Ellinor!"
After saying that, Ellinor glanced at Theo.
Theo knew he messed up. He felt guilty and didn't dare lash out at Ellinor or argue.
He had hidden his overseas marriage from Ellinor for some particular reasons. It was his fault, and he deserved to be blamed.
Although Sophia didn't admit her wrongdoings, she didn't have any strong arguments to deny them either. So she cleverly changed the subject. "Ellinor, don't you care about Theo? You don't give a damn, even if I take him away? Are you doing justice to Theo's feelings for you?"
Theo frowned and looked at Ellinor, unsure of how to react.
Sophia sure knew how to change the topic. Her few sentences had disrupted the slightly harmonious relationship between him and Ellinor.
But Ellinor didn’t care. If she dared say these things in front of Theo, she wasn’t afraid of what he’d think.
She smiled and said, “He knows best whether I’m doing him justice. You don’t need to worry about it.
As for why you and Theo got married, I guess we all know. I’m not mad about that. What pisses me off is that he hid it from me!
Even if he had deceived her, she still cared about him. She still loved him.
Even if love made her lose her sanity, it was better than the regret of his death.
Ellinor also knew that Theo didn’t have romantic feelings for Sophia and that he hadn’t cheated on her.
Although she had accepted the reality of her feelings, Ellinor still gave this “big liar” a bad look. She glared at him discontentedly and said, “Stop playing the good guy. I haven’t forgiven you yet.”
Theo gave a helpless smile and gently tried to persuade her. “I know, but could you have some water at least? You shouldn’t be thirsty because of a jerk like me, right?”
