At the hospital.

After examining Ellinor, the doctor came out to explain to her family. "She fainted due to excessive emotional fluctuations, but luckily, she was brought here in time. Both the mother and the baby are okay."

Upon hearing the doctor's feedback, Balfour and Byran finally relaxed and sighed in relief.

The doctor continued. "However, her due date is fast approaching, and due to the shock, she may go into labor early. I suggest admitting her straight away."

Balfour was planning to do just that. After Ellinor's ordeal, he didn't feel comfortable taking her home.

So he nodded at Quinton next to him.

"Go and get Ellinor admitted."

Quinton respectfully responded, "Yes, Mr. Howard."

After watching Quinton head off to handle the admission paperwork, Byran frowned at Balfour. "Why did Theo..."

Balfour scowled. "Don’t you dare bring it up again? Do you think Ellinor’s shock wasn’t big enough?"

Realizing he had said something he shouldn't, Byran sadly lowered his head, saying no more.

Balfour warned him again. "When you go in, don't mention Theo in front of Ellinor."

Byran nodded. "Yeah, I got it."

When Balfour entered the ward, Ellinor was already awake. She was staring blankly at the ceiling, lost in thought.

Byran wiped away his tears and grumbled angrily, "Humph! Even if you've broken up, you can't say such harsh words! Theo was so good to you; how can you think him being dead is a good thing?"

After hearing this, Balfour coldly raised his eyes and sternly scolded him, "Get out!"

Feeling upset, Byran unusually expressed his displeasure towards his brother. He scoffed and stormed off.

While watching Byran leave, Balfour gently said, "Ellinor, don't mind him; he doesn't understand."

Ellinor nodded. "Brother, I suddenly want to eat a cream puff."

"Okay, I'll have someone buy it for you right away." As Balfour agreed, he didn't notice anything unusual at first, until he showed a surprised expression and looked at Ellinor in disbelief.
