The IVF Secret That Shook a Dynasty novel Chapter 521

Raymond laughed happily as he spoke.

Vivica reached the outside of the hospital room just in time to hear his words. She paused. The thought of having more people who cared for and loved her made the lingering, complicated emotions in her chest quietly dissipate.

Joseph, holding Chaim, had heard it too. Seeing his wife's reaction, he knew exactly what was going through her mind. "Maybe this won't be as hard to face as you thought," he comforted her in a low voice.

She looked up at the man's handsome face and steady eyes. Pressing her lips together, she nodded and mustered the courage to push the door open.

Inside the room, the group was chatting in a warm, harmonious atmosphere. When the door opened, everyone turned to look, their faces instantly lighting up with excitement.

Cheryl immediately stood up. "Vivica, you're finally here."

She stepped forward to welcome her, grabbing Vivica's hand and pulling her inside.

Hillary looked at her daughter, her eyes filled with eager joy. Unfortunately, she was too weak to get up.

"Vivica, you... you came." Once Cheryl had pulled Vivica over to the sofa, Hillary stuttered a little in her excitement.

Seeing the older woman huddled on the sofa with a blanket over her legs, still looking incredibly frail, Vivica simply gave a gentle nod.

After nodding, she felt she ought to say something else. "Are you... feeling any better?" she asked, her tone carrying a hint of unfamiliarity.

"Better. Much better," Hillary replied, raising a hand toward her. "Sit. Sit right here."

Hillary patted the empty spot next to her on the sofa.

Before Vivica could react, Cheryl gave her a gentle push forward.

"Sit next to your mother, Vivica. She's been looking forward to seeing you so much that she couldn't sleep a wink last night." Cheryl was genuinely thrilled, her face beaming. Knowing her sister might have a hard time saying certain things, she spoke on her behalf.

But seeing how tense and awkward Vivica looked, Raymond couldn't help but remind his mother, "Mom, don't overwhelm her. Let Vivica adjust at her own pace."
