The IVF Secret That Shook a Dynasty novel Chapter 215

That got Harvey’s attention. He immediately understood. “Uncle, I think I’ll come over for lunch too. Put me at their table and add a couple of dishes for me.”

“Have you told Joseph you’re coming?” Sherman asked. “Don’t just show up and crash their meal. You might upset him.”

“Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing. Just do as I say. And don’t tell him I’m on my way.” Harvey was already walking briskly as he spoke.

Back in the private room, Joseph sipped his coffee and asked Vivica, “Have you been to see the house in Greenbelt Villa yet?”

Vivica shook her head. “Not yet. I was planning to go have a look after work tonight.” She had planned it, but she wasn’t sure if she’d have the time.

“You have to work today?” Joseph asked, surprised.

“Of course. I’m still in my probationary period. Taking too much time off would look really bad.”

“Isn’t your boss some schoolmate of yours? Can’t he cut you some slack?” Joseph’s tone sounded a little strange as he asked.

Vivica looked at him, a hidden emotion in her own eyes. “He’s already been very accommodating. I can’t make things difficult for him.”

Her response only seemed to sharpen his tone. “You’re certainly very considerate of others.”

Vivica pressed her lips together and glanced at him without a word. She had the strange feeling that he was acting like a jealous boyfriend. But the thought was so absurd that she dismissed it as quickly as it came.

...

Twenty minutes later, Sherman returned with a waitress, who began serving the dishes.

“Here are the first four courses. Enjoy them. There are two more on the way,” Sherman said politely.
