Moss pictured Ella’s delicate face in his mind. For a moment, he said nothing, then he finally replied, “Alright.”

The whole Irvine family broke into smiles. Moss' word was as good as law. With him on their side, Ella wouldn’t do anything to them.

“Thank you, Mr. Wade,” Grandma Jill said, all smiles.
