The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 232

David’s face went icy in a heartbeat. He hadn’t forgotten about her taking birth control for Atlas. That was why he’d been distant, why he hadn’t called or texted. He’d wanted things to fade out, to let them end quietly.

When she’d shown up at the family house for dinner, he’d actually thought she was ready to make up with him. And then she hit him with this.

“David, I want a divorce.”

She didn’t even want to wait another day.

Did she really think he was that easy?

His stare was razor sharp as he grabbed her arm. “Ella, did you come back tonight just to piss me off?”

Ella yanked her arm away, her voice cold. “Don’t touch me with your dirty hands.”

What did she just say?

Her chin lifted, her eyes clear and unafraid as she stared him down. “David, you’re disgusting.”

So disgusting, she couldn’t stand it anymore.

A vein pulsed in David’s forehead. He lost it, his hand closing around her neck as he pushed her back against the side of the Rolls-Royce. “Ella, are you asking for trouble?”

Ella felt so ridiculous. She’d actually thought, even for a second, that he might care about her.

He never did.

Not only did he not care, he never missed a chance to make her miserable.

She’d given him her first time, and he’d been awful to her afterwards. It hadn’t even been that long before he started seeing her classmate Monica, turning into Monica’s sugar daddy.

Of all the girls out there, why did he have to choose Monica? The thought of it made Ella feel sick.

Her eyes were red, her skin flushed, but she stared straight at him without flinching. “David, even if you kill me, I’d still think you’re disgusting. We’re getting divorced tomorrow. I’m done being Mrs. Harmon.”

David was fuming, his chest rising and falling, his eyes cold and hard.
