What’s this?
Ella closed the door and dumped the bag onto the bed. Out spilled a box of condoms and a set of racy lingerie.
She blinked in shock. She definitely hadn’t ordered these.
Did room service mess up?
Just then, Atlas stepped out of the bathroom, towel in hand. He saw what was on the bed and stopped in his tracks. “Ella, what’s all this?”
She shook her head, realizing he was just as clueless. So if neither of them ordered it, how did it end up here?
The doorbell chimed.
“I’ll get it,” Atlas said.
He opened the door. David and Jessa stood in the hallway.
Ella’s lashes fluttered. Weren’t they supposed to be in the suite next door?
“David, what are you doing here?” Atlas asked, eyebrows raised.
David’s voice was smooth and deep. “Security system in our room is acting up. Management needs to run some tests, so we’re crashing with you tonight.”
Ella’s mind went blank for a second. David and Jessa were staying with them? Tonight? All four of them would be in this room.
The presidential suite was big enough, but this felt weird. Really weird.
Jessa looked like she’d rather be anywhere else, but apparently the villa manager had shown up out of nowhere, said their room had a problem, and that every other room was booked. So here they were, squeezed in together.
David turned to Atlas. “We’re not putting you out, are we?”
Atlas gave a half-smile and stepped back. “Of course not. Come in.”
