“The herbal tonic recipe you left for Grandma is missing,” David said.
So that was it.
Ella grabbed a pen right away. “Just a sec. I’ll write it down for you now.”
She bent over the table and started scribbling on a piece of paper.
As she leaned forward, the neckline of her white tank top dipped, showing off the soft, full curve of her chest. The gentle rise and fall was impossible to ignore.
David felt his throat tighten. He knew Ella had a good figure, but it wasn’t just that. Her waist was so slim, almost delicate, but her curves above were round and generous. It was the kind of body that could drive any man crazy, and she was just born with it.
“Ella,” he said, his voice rough and low.
She looked up, puzzled. “What is it?”
She really didn’t have a clue. Her eyes were clear and bright, full of innocence.
That look could light a fire in any man. David swallowed hard. “Just snap a picture and send it to me when you’re done.”
Ella suddenly remembered. Of course, a big-shot CEO like him must be swamped. He didn’t have time to wait for her.
She nodded. “Okay, I’ll let you go then. You must be busy.”
She reached to end the video call.
David stayed quiet.
Right then, Lilly rushed in from outside. “Ella, hurry, vanilla ice cream!”
Lilly already had a cone in her hand and held out another for Ella.
The ice cream was starting to melt, so Ella quickly grabbed it.
“It’s melting, Ella, quick, lick it before it drips. I just got these from the shop. So sweet.”
