"Because he doesn’t get along with Vincent Atkins."
Ian Whitley said with slight helplessness,
"They debuted in the same group that year, but they had some minor conflicts early on..."
Before he could finish, Noah Zimmerman interrupted angrily,
"That’s not it, I can’t stand how he doesn’t appreciate his fans! I saw with my own eyes him throwing fan letters and gifts into the trash!
His fans waited downstairs for him all day in the summer heat just to see him, and he deliberately didn’t meet them. I even heard him discussing with his manager how to mistreat the fans ugh..."
Noah’s words were cut off as Ian Whitley clamped a hand over his mouth.
Ian Whitley shot Scarlett Jennings and Samuel Chalmers an apologetic smile, then turned to Noah Zimmerman with a warning look,
"Didn’t we agree not to speak out of turn about these industry matters to outsiders? Don’t you know you’ll easily offend people this way?"
Noah looked embarrassed but quickly regained his composure.
Anyway, he had said what he wanted to say.
Every fan is a belief, and such precious fans, yet Vincent Atkins didn’t appreciate them at all!
Since he himself didn’t cherish them, taking his fans wasn’t wrong.
"So why don’t you just steal his fans?"
Scarlett asked purely out of curiosity, as Noah replied in frustration,
"Because I can’t steal them."
He explained,
"Ian said I shouldn’t use demonic power for revenge or I’d hurt my Merit, so I thought of influencing his fans using merchandise as a medium,
but my Demon Energy seems to have no effect on him..."
Another crucial reason was that selling merchandise required exquisite craftsmanship, and his conscience wouldn’t allow him to produce anything high-quality for that person.
By comparison, although Vincent Atkins had character issues, his talent was undeniable. Designing some attractive merchandise for him was something Noah could accept.
When Scarlett heard that Noah’s Demon Energy was useless against the person, certain suspicions flashed in her mind, but it had nothing to do with their current purpose.
Furthermore, investigating the source of corruption was more important, so she didn’t delve further.
As for whether Noah and Ian Whitley intended to make a grand comeback and take revenge on those who betrayed him, that was their business, not Scarlett’s to interfere with.
She hadn’t expected that the world’s events would always come with coincidences and surprises.
Although Scarlett and Samuel didn’t intend to get involved, the person concerned ran straight into their hands.
They had used a spatial rift to avoid scrutiny and trouble when they arrived, but leaving wouldn’t be as troublesome, so Scarlett decided not to let Samuel continue using his ability.
They planned to leave directly through the building, but as soon as they opened the door of the lounge, they collided with two people passing through the hallway.
Noah Zimmerman was there today for a variety show at a factory, and the lounge in the hallway had rooms for other guests as well.
Scarlett Jennings and Samuel Chalmers also encountered the celebrities participating in this program.
When the other party saw Scarlett, he was first taken aback, then seemingly recognized her, just about to raise an eyebrow when his gaze suddenly landed on Noah and Ian in the lounge behind her.
The man’s eyes instantly narrowed slightly.
"Ian, what a coincidence."
The man greeted with a fake smile.
When Ian Whitley and Noah Zimmerman on the sofa saw the man’s face, their expressions immediately darkened.
The man was George Goodman, the young star who had previously betrayed Ian and almost left him with nothing.
Scarlett had no impression of him, but to her surprise, she saw a hint of entanglement between this George Goodman and Noah Zimmerman.
"Coincidence? Hardly."
Noah sneered and gave him a disdainful glance,
"This is my lounge. You’re blocking my fresh air at the door."
