Sea City.
The plane landed.
Samuel Chalmers glanced at Lucas Jennings, who was still asleep with her head tilted to one side, without making a sound, even gesturing slightly to the attendants to stay quiet when they approached.
They were traveling back on Samuel Chalmers’ private jet, and the crew onboard was personally hired, so naturally, their employer’s wishes were their command.
Consciously, they stood to one side without making any noise.
The plane waited on the ground like that, but fortunately, Lucas Jennings soon opened her eyes.
She had always been a light sleeper, but perhaps due to Samuel Chalmers’ presence; the spiritual energy refined by the golden light surrounding him made one feel particularly comfortable, tempting her into a deep sleep.
Maybe it was also because she had been non-stop for so long.
The slight confusion in her eyes was quickly brushed away by the dazzling golden light next to her.
"Are we there?"
Lucas Jennings spoke as she straightened up, and Samuel Chalmers unhurriedly handed her a cup of warm water,
"No rush to get off, have some water first."
Lucas Jennings took the water, the warmth revitalizing her body and spirit.
Due to the situation at Hongling Elementary School, Donovan Jennings seized the opportunity to negotiate further collaboration with the Security Bureau and did not return with them this time.
Once Lucas Jennings collected herself, the two got up, ready to disembark. Their luggage was naturally handled by dedicated staff, but halfway through, they were stopped by the cabin manager,
"Mr. Chalmers, the lady at the back..."
Samuel Chalmers and Lucas Jennings both turned their heads, only then realizing they had left someone behind.
It was Jasmine Hamilton who had followed them on this trip.
Since Lucas Jennings was primarily investigating information about the Otherworld, Cassian Wolf specifically sent Jasmine Hamilton along with her.
Perhaps because foxes don’t care for flying, Jasmine Hamilton was still a bit unsteady on her feet, sitting in her seat with a pale face, softly murmuring requests to rest a bit longer.
Lucas Jennings found it a bit hard to adjust to Jasmine Hamilton’s weak demeanor despite wearing her master’s face.
After all, her master was the type who, even seriously injured, would free up a hand to pat her shoulder and smile,
"I was careless just now. Wait till I get serious, and it’ll be dead in three seconds."
Because of this, Lucas Jennings never mistook Jasmine Hamilton’s face for someone else.
However, seeing her like this, she said,
"Next time, I’ll book you a train ticket."
Jasmine Hamilton had just managed to regain her composure and, feeling a bit embarrassed, looked at Lucas Jennings,
"Mr. Wen wants me to follow you."
By taking the plane, she naturally had to follow along, no matter how uncomfortable she felt.
Jasmine Hamilton already had many young peers in her clan envious of her special invitation into the Mystic Regulation Office as a half-demon. She could handle this little discomfort.
As she spoke, she checked her phone for the latest messages, her eyes showing a flash of surprise. She looked at Lucas Jennings,
"Lucas, Mr. Wen says... to take him off the blacklist."
Lucas Jennings just raised an eyebrow, "Oh, we’ll talk about it later."
No rush.
Having just returned, she wasn’t in the mood to hear from that person yet.
The three got off the plane, and outside the tarmac, there were already cars from the Chalmers family waiting.
Since Samuel didn’t like riding with strangers, Jasmine Hamilton was given a separate car.
Samuel first dropped Lucas back at the Jennings family home before parting ways.
Jasmine Hamilton was dropped off at the Jennings’ residence, where she gazed at the large estate with her mouth slightly agape.
This house seemed even better than the one their clan leader lived in.
It was the weekend, and knowing Lucas was returning, Luca Jennings and others had waited at home.
Michael Jennings eagerly waited at the door and rushed out as soon as Lucas got out of the car.
"Sister! You’re back!"
He said, looking curiously at the girl standing next to Lucas, Jasmine Hamilton, "Who’s this?"
