Scarlett Jennings didn’t directly mention another possibility, mainly because she wasn’t too sure herself.
She still needed to "pull" the person out to get a clear answer.
"Take me to your place first to have a look,"
Scarlett said as she was about to stand up. Sebastian Carew was stunned for a moment,
"Are we just going like this?"
"What else?" Scarlett looked at him somewhat confused.
For a moment, Sebastian felt a bit embarrassed,
"I mean, if we’re going to my place, we might need to disguise ourselves first."
Even though they’ve appeared on shows together and having a meal separately doesn’t mean anything, heading back to his place together might attract some paparazzi, especially with the endless stream of gossip photographers surrounding Sebastian.
Seeing Scarlett looking at him, seemingly afraid she might misunderstand, he quickly explained,
"I don’t mind this; I’m single, it’s no big deal, but don’t you have a fiancé? I’m worried the gossip news outlets might write misleading stuff and make Mr. Chalmers misunderstand."
Sebastian’s concerns weren’t unfounded. In the entertainment industry, sometimes rumors can come from nothing, let alone if the two went back home in private.
Scarlett, while having participated in reality shows and being considered an internet celebrity, wasn’t technically a star.
Sebastian didn’t want to cause her any trouble.
Scarlett naturally understood what Sebastian meant and said,
"I don’t like hiding. Being photographed that way would make me feel more guilty."
After a pause, she added,
"But there is some sense in what you said."
After all, now she and Samuel Chalmers were formally engaged, not just superficially engaged but truly family-bound.
She had to consider Samuel Chalmers’s feelings.
So she thought for a moment and sent a message from her phone.
Half an hour later,
Violet Allen came bustling in.
When she saw Sebastian, her eyes couldn’t help but light up,
"Sebastian Carew! It really is you! I even went to your concert last year, though unfortunately, I only got to see half of it."
Mainly because she got a counterfeit ticket from a scalper, and when she got to the venue, she was told she couldn’t enter. Unwilling to leave, she sneaked in by leaving her body.
She floated in the front row and was really happy watching.
But midway, someone discovered her body, thought she passed out, and called an ambulance to take her away. Violet had to leave early.
That really left her regretful for a long time.
Sebastian had no idea about the stay behind "backstory" of Violet watching only half the concert, he just smiled politely at her.
Violet, looking at the ghost energy clinging to him, couldn’t help but lean closer to Scarlett and whisper,
"Is there a big task? Do you need my help?"
"Not for now," Scarlett said, "But I might need you to come along."
Scarlett explained the complications of the entertainment world, and Violet immediately patted her chest, saying there was no problem.
Sebastian also called his manager, and the four of them went back to his place together.
Sebastian was actually from the Carew Family in the Capital Metropolitan, but he had his own house there. The place they were going to was his private residence.
He hadn’t mentioned the ghost thing to his family.
The four of them just arrived at the gate of the villa area when, unexpectedly, they ran into someone else.
Coincidentally, Scarlett and Violet also knew this person.
"Sebastian, you’re back? I heard you’re taking a break these days..."
Lance Carew smiled as he greeted Sebastian Carew in the car, but when his gaze fell on Scarlett and Violet inside, his expression suddenly froze.
Sebastian recognized him as a relative from the collateral branch and was about to ask him to go ahead because he had something to do when he saw his expression and instinctively glanced inside the car.
Seeing Scarlett and Violet both looking a bit complicated,
"Do you know each other?"
