The Fake Heiress Turns Out to Be a True Tycoon! novel Chapter 16

Chapter 16: Chapter 16: She Has a Calamity

Samuel Chalmers looked at her, his eyes slightly deep in thought. He was somewhat suspicious of how she knew the Silva family but didn't ask further.

He gestured for the driver to start the car, and soon they arrived at an upscale villa area in the southern part of Sea City.

With Samuel Chalmer's car leading the way, they reached the Silva family villa without any hindrance.

If Scarlett Garrison was alone, she probably wouldn't even be able to enter the villa area's main gate.

Samuel Chalmers dropped her off at the door and didn't intend to accompany her inside; he left right after setting her down.

When the Silva family heard it was Samuel Chalmers's car that came, they curiously came down to greet, only to see an unknown young girl with a little fox in her arms.

"Who is this young lady?" ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

Scarlett Garrison, recalling the attitude of the Jennings family earlier, didn't involve the Jennings and simply stated her surname was Garrison, without directly saying she came to exchange intelligence with Miss Silva, knowing they wouldn't believe her.

She took out a peace charm from Clear Breeze Temple from her small bag,

"Some time ago, I met Mrs. Silva and saw her drop this, so I thought I'd return it."

Just last month, Mr. Silva had mentioned on social media about accompanying Mrs. Silva to Clear Breeze Temple to get a charm, which Scarlett used as a pretext.

Mrs. Silva was a voluptuous and beautiful lady, her demeanor was pleasant. Seeing Scarlett Garrison, a polite and gentle young girl with a pet fox, she didn't overthink.

"So it is."

The old lady was from the older generation; ever since Andrea had injured her head and couldn't be cured, she believed the house had bad geomancy. She'd previously fiddled with the home's arrangement, and for the last year started believing in Taoism, even dragging her grandchild to the Taoist Temple for talismans. Her family let her be.

Yet, it was unexpected that someone would go out of their way to return a dropped peace charm.

"Thank you for making the trip, but how do you know my grandmother?"

Mrs. Silva was amicable but maintained necessary caution.

Scarlett Garrison kept her demeanor steady and was about to explain when she surreptitiously squeezed her pet fox Pretty Hamilton's belly.

This was prearranged with Pretty Hamilton. As she made the move, the little fox kicked out of her arms and scampered toward the second floor.

Mrs. Silva immediately startled, and Scarlett Garrison also acted surprised, getting up to chase.

"Pretty Hamilton! Come back!"

Good job, Pretty Hamilton, go find Miss Silva.

Almost instantly, a childish yelp of surprise came from upstairs; Mrs. Silva and the servants' faces changed, hastily following.

Scarlett Garrison kept a small distance behind Mrs. Silva as they went upstairs, only to see at the end of the hallway, a girl in a beautiful princess dress crouching on the floor, smilingly watching the chubby little fox sitting obediently in front of her, even attempting to reach out to pet it.

"Andrea!" Mrs. Silva called out immediately, and quickly walked to her young daughter, pulling her behind.

Though the little fox looked tame, who knew if it might bite.

It was then Mrs. Silva slightly regretted allowing this young girl with such a pet to enter so easily.

Mrs. Silva, hearing her daughter's childish voice, felt a pang of sadness and tried to console her,

"That's not a dog, it's a fox that can hurt people. Andrea, would you like if mom gets you a dog?"

"Yes! Mom is the best! I want a dog!" Juniper Silva instantly forgot about the fox and was visibly overjoyed.

Mrs. Silva, watching her beautiful daughter, felt tears welling up in her eyes. When she turned and saw the amulet Scarlett had left on the cabinet, her face darkened again, and she quietly instructed a servant, "Take that thing and throw it away."

She wouldn't let her Andrea touch something of unknown origin.

As for the things Scarlett mentioned about the red mole and a deficiency in fate, she didn't believe any of it.

Yet, when she looked at Andrea, her gaze involuntarily shifted to the area covered by the girl's lace lantern sleeves.

There seemed to be a faint red mole on Andrea's chest.

Still, Mrs. Silva didn't buy into those supernatural stories but suspected that the maid responsible for taking care of Andrea had leaked information.

What were they trying to do?

The more she thought, the more uneasy she felt, so she sent Andrea back to her room and hurriedly made a call to her husband and son.

Someone was targeting her Andrea, and she couldn't be at peace without figuring out what was going on.

Unknown to Mrs. Silva, as soon as she left, Andrea peeked out from her room and then, with the demeanor of a thief in her own house, tiptoed out and ran downstairs.
