Lately, every time Simone went to see Leonard, she found him at his computer, emailing Summer.
Leonard refreshed his inbox a few times. Seeing no new messages, he slowly turned to Simone.
"What? Dating someone online?"
Simone said, "Leonard, you seem to be in touch with Summer a lot recently."
"We haven't spoken in three days," Leonard said flatly.
"Then what are you doing sitting at the computer?" Simone asked.
"Waiting for Summer to reply."
Simone paused. "Didn't you just say you haven't spoken in three days?"
Leonard said, "Yes. Summer hasn't replied to my message."
Simone was speechless. So, when Leonard said 'three days,' he meant it was a one-sided silence from the other person's end.
After a moment of exasperation, she finally asked, "Leonard, what's going on with you and Aurora?"
"It's over between us," Leonard said.
Simone froze for a couple of seconds before her expression hardened.
"Over? Are the Williamses that desperate to cut ties with us now?"
