The Ex-Wife's Burning Elegance novel Chapter 1213

From the moment she received Abby's message, Stella had been formulating a plan. Whether the intel was real or fake, she was going to act on it. Any opportunity to disrupt Leonard's operations was one worth taking. If it was a trap, she would simply be prepared for it.

Joshua, who had been listening quietly, finally spoke. "You're going to rob Leonard?"

Stella nodded. "Yes, but I don't have enough manpower. I'll have to team up with Antoney."

"What's your plan?" he asked.

"It's simple," she said. "We hit them at the transaction point. We make Leonard think his buyer is double-crossing him, and we make the buyer think Leonard is taking the money and running. I want them at each other's throats."

It was the only way. With her current resources, she couldn't compete with a family head like Leonard, neither openly nor in the shadows. Even with Antoney's help, it wasn't enough. Leonard's power and hidden assets were far beyond what the three Williams brothers possessed. She couldn't afford a direct confrontation; she had to chip away at his power bit by bit while building her own.

Joshua listened, a hint of admiration in his eyes. After everything she had been through, Stella was truly becoming a force to be reckoned with.

"It's a good plan," he said, a dark light flickering in his gaze. He thought for a moment. "Since you're trying to rescue Abby, let me handle that part. While you and Antoney create a diversion, I can get her out with less pressure."

Stella considered it. The person who went for Abby needed to be highly skilled and completely trustworthy. Joshua was the perfect candidate. Besides, after the incident with Stuart, there was no telling if he might lose control and cause a bloodbath at the heist. If they drew Leonard's attention away, Joshua's mission would be relatively safe.

She nodded slowly. "Alright, I'll leave Abby to you. Once my brother gets the map of the Lerman estate, we can move."
