When Leonard said that, Israel could hardly believe his ears.
“Leonard, seriously? You’re the head of the family, and you’re telling me you’re actually afraid of Stella—a housewife who’s spent her life looking after her husband and kids?”
Leonard replied calmly, “The fact that she chooses to stand up to me, even after everything I’ve put her through, says a lot about her mental strength. She’s not someone to underestimate.”
Israel scoffed. “What’s gotten into all of you? Stella’s just some sheltered woman who’s barely seen the real world. She’s worth all this caution?”
He snorted, “Fine, if you’re all too scared to make a move, I’ll do it myself! I refuse to believe that after all my years at the Williams Corporation, I’d lose to a greenhorn who’s just set foot in the business world!”
As Israel was about to hang up, Leonard cut in.
“We’re not holding back because we’re afraid of Stella. The thing is, she plays dirty, and she doesn’t always follow the usual rules. If you keep underestimating her, you’ll end up paying for it.”
Israel bristled at Leonard’s words and was about to retort, but Leonard interrupted him again.
“Listen, Israel. Hear me out first. Since you’ve already made up your mind, I won’t try to stop you. But you know what they say—know your enemy and know yourself, and you’ll never be defeated.
Right now, she’s busy stabilizing the situation at Richards Inc. I’ll keep the pressure up from my end. Meanwhile, you can intercept all the orders from her business partners, push her company to the brink. When she runs out of cash flow, Stella will have no choice but to sell off some of her shares in Pearce Holdings. That’s your chance to swoop in and buy them up for cheap.”
Leonard paused for a moment.
“And you can hire a hacker, break into her company’s network.”
