"I just sneezed and you're freaked out like this! You must be terrified of losing me, aren't you?"
Nathan took a sip of his coffee, furrowed his brows, adjusted his position and slid closer to Damon. He lightly tapped Damon's shoulder after his remark.
"Buzz off!"
Damon said coldly. Nathan had seen Damon's indulgent attitude towards Chloe, but now he seemed totally indifferent to him, which frightened the people around.
People knew Damon was fearsome, but they hadn't figured out what exactly made him so!
They hadn't seen it, but they'd heard about it. Although he looked elegant now, when he got really angry, he was just like a demon!
"Damon, have you been into fashion magazines lately?"
A middle-aged man sitting nearby with a coffee cup in his hand was smiling. His calm and composed demeanor gave people a special feeling.
Damon looked down, a flicker of light passed through his eyes, but he didn't look up.
"This is an important business partner of the company."
A young woman nearby glanced cautiously and immediately exclaimed with joy.
"I know her, she's Star! She's the most famous perfumer in the world! She's so pretty!"
Damon smiled slightly, but quickly returned to his original expression.
Nathan turned to the girl, "And you are?"
"I'm Angie Harper, your second cousin!" The girl stomped her foot in annoyance.
"Oh, sorry." Nathan waved his hand dismissively, picked up a magazine, and started flipping through it with interest.
"Have you seen the live stream?"
"Yeah, have you?"
"Yeah."
Angie's eyes sparkled, her hands clasped together under her chin, her face full of excitement.
"Star is super gorgeous, right? I want to marry her!"
Damon raised his head slightly, his deep gaze sweeping over Angie.
Seeing Damon's reaction, Nathan smiled slightly and took a sip of his coffee. He knew that the mention of Chloe would surely elicit a reaction from Damon.
Sure enough...
"Are you a lesbian?"
Nathan's profound demeanor suddenly seemed ridiculous!
He choked on his coffee and sprayed it out, the mist looked charming under the light...
Couldn't he just talk like a normal person?!
Angie, however, looked calm and collected, "If Beauty and the Beast can fall in love despite their differences, why can't humans fall in love regardless of gender? I'm not a lesbian, but I'm willing to become one for her! Are you prejudiced against gays?"
This was a very sensitive topic that could easily spark a massive controversy if not handled carefully.
"Yes, I am."
Damon dropped a bombshell, choosing the worst possible answer without hesitation! Everyone looked at Damon with strange expressions.
"You're not allowed to like her." Damon said sternly.
"Why?"
Nathan leaned back on the couch, raised an eyebrow and said with a smile. It's because she's going to be your cousin's future wife!
"You two can't be together."
In Angie's ears, this statement translated into "There's no good end for gays!"
Her face turned pale immediately, "Why are you prejudiced against gays, aren't you one too?!"
Robin laughed, "His trust in you was not wasted! Get some rest early."
Damon was expressionless, "You too."
"Angie, go home and rest."
"Okay!"
Angie followed Robin, pouting at Damon in dissatisfaction, obviously still bothered about what had just happened.
Once the living room was left with only Damon and Nathan, Damon's face completely cooled down. He looked at the butler with a deep gaze.
"How is my grandfather really?"
"The doctor says the situation isn't very optimistic and requires clinical observation."
The butler simply answered and then didn't say anything else to Damon. He bowed and went upstairs.
Nathan stood up from the couch, and looked upstairs, his finely sculpted features resolute and handsome.
"It's been three days, he called me back but hasn't seen me. What's he up to? Is he really sick or just pretending to be?"
Damon's brows furrowed gradually.
"How about you go back to P City first?"
