The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 758

Carly was feeling a bit diffident as she asked, "Adam, why are you looking at me like that?"

Adam shook his head. "It's nothing."

After that, he walked back into his ward.

Carly followed him in. "Adam, aren't you going after Celine?"

Of course he would, but not now. Something was wrong with him, and he needed to understand what it was before doing anything else.

Once in the ward, Adam called for the doctor.

The doctor had arrived and stood respectfully at his bedside. "Mr. Alvarez."

Adam looked at him and asked, "What's happening to me? Why do I keep getting these splitting headaches? It feels like my head's about to explode."

The doctor replied, "Mr. Alvarez, we've run a full set of tests. Everything came back normal. There's no sign of any neurological issues."

No sign of anything? Then why did it feel like knives twisting inside his skull?

The doctor handed over a file. "This is your brain scan. It's perfectly healthy."

Adam stared at the images, feeling more confused than reassured.

At that moment, Carly said, "Adam, maybe you're just overworked. You need to rest. I'll stay by your side."

Adam turned his eyes on her. "You'll stay by my side?"

Carly nodded. "Of course. Celine is nothing but bad luck. Every time you go after her, you collapse. Me? I'm your good luck charm. With me around, everything's fine."

Adam paused. Every time he thought of Celine, the pain returned. Whenever he tried to get close, it felt like his skull would split open.

However, the pain faded the moment Carly appeared.

Adam said nothing. He watched Carly with unreadable eyes, the weight of his silence enough to make her skin crawl.
