"Pilsner Group's legal team is already making the necessary preparations," Jonah said. "I'm going to sue Rebecca for slander, defamation, and damaging my reputation."
"What are the chances of winning?" Hailey asked.
"Nothing happened between Rebecca and me. I'm confident we'll come out on top."
"Even if you win, the scandal won't just disappear. People often don't care about the truth. They just want something to talk about."
Justin nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that's right. Honestly, Rebecca's got a twisted mindset. Winning or losing isn't her main concern. She just wants to drag Jonah through this scandal and crash Pilsner Group's stock."
Hailey suddenly recalled Rebecca's words. "If I can't have peace, I'll make sure no one does."
It was clear Rebecca was unstable and dangerous.
"Mr. Pilsner, I have an idea. Do you want to hear it?" Hailey asked.
Jonah's and Justin's eyes lit up.
"Ms. Hailey, what is it? Tell us, quick!" Justin urged.
Hailey glanced at Jonah. "If I tell you, you have to promise to follow my plan."
"Alright, let's hear it," Jonah said.
"We'll put on a show."
"A show? What kind of show?"
"Come closer."
As Jonah and Justin leaned in, Hailey shared her plan with them.
…
Outside of Pilsner Group, Rebecca sat quietly in a luxury car. She was fully aware that Jonah was just moments away from publicly announcing his lawsuit against her.
But regardless of the odds, she remained unfazed. Stories about a powerful CEO tangled in scandal with a young college student were exactly the kind of sensational headlines the public loved. As long as she stayed firm in her accusations, she could bring Jonah down.
Through the car window, her eyes lingered on the towering office building. If only Jonah had fallen for her charm, things would be different now. But since he hadn't, he only had himself to blame for what was coming.
