The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 486

"Correction! I'm your ex-wife, not wife. Or I might have thought you were referring to Megan."

Just the mention of that name felt like a cloud blocking the sun, dampening his mood.

Leopold fell silent. He could only swallow his bitterness until the "divorce" was finalized.

Soon, he had finished preparing dinner.

He made roast fish, pan-seared sardines, and a vegetable salad.

Aurelia couldn't wait to try the fish. It smelled good and tasted savory, devoid of any fishy smell. It was delicious.

Upon seeing her satisfied expression, a charming smile spread across Leopold's thin lips.

The kids loved it, too. The fish paired with vegetable salad was too aromatic.

William ate like a horse, his belly bulging. "Uncle Leopold, your cooking might not be on par with my dad's, but it surpasses any other chef's."

Leopold ruffled his hair. "We know each other well now. Can't you remove your mask when it's just us? I still don't know what you look like."

Aurelia choked a bit, wondering how to dodge the question, but then William said, "It's not just a mask. It's my social safety shield. Until my social anxiety is cured, I can't take it off. Only with it on, I dare to say whatever I want."

Leopold lightly pinched his cheek. So his frequent sarcasm and boldness were all thanks to this shield that gave him courage?

"Fine, I won't force you. Next time, let Kane take a picture of you so I can see your real face."

William and Kane exchanged glances. That photo would need a good Photoshop job.

Aurelia quickly changed the subject.

"After dinner, we'll head back. Kane, do you want to stay at Blossom Villa tonight?"

"Sure." Kane nodded.

Leopold suddenly felt a sense of loneliness.

In the past, he enjoyed being alone. But he would feel bored and lonely if he didn't see her for three days, as if he were the only one left in the world.

By evening, they had returned to the dock.

When Aurelia returned to Blossom Villa, she immediately sent a message to Leah on WhatsApp.

Leah soon arrived.

Just then, the front door swung open, and Avery returned.

He had just been to his grandparents' house to deliver freshly picked strawberries.

When Avery saw Leah, a charming smile spread across his face. "You're one lucky girl. Did you know I picked strawberries today?"

Leah made a face at him.

Aurelia had promised to keep her hacker identity a secret, so Avery didn't know about it.

Aurelia laughed. "I invited Leah over. Kane and William caught many fish today. They're super fresh. I wanted her to join us for dinner."

Avery had the servants wash the strawberries and called the kids to come down and eat.

Leah picked one up and popped it whole into her mouth. "So sweet."

Avery reached over and ruffled her hair with a hint of affection in his eyes. "I knew you'd love them. Even if my sister didn't invite you, I would have."

William glanced at the two, blinking. "Uncle Avery, are you and Leah secretly dating?"
