The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 483

Aurelia rolled her eyes.

"You can think whatever you want." She didn't want to explain anymore. She stood up and made her way towards the cabin.

Leopold was still irked. He needed to know where the hell that guy came from. In his mind, Aurelia couldn't possibly have such a perverse interest. He feared someone had been a bad influence on her.

In the children's cabin, the chess game ended in a stalemate.

Kane deliberately let William win, refraining from cornering him.

William saw through it. When it came to chess, he could never match up to Kane. But he didn't call out Kane. Instead, he grinned, revealing a radiant smile, "It looks like I'm not too bad at chess, right?"

Kane's lips curved up slightly. "We're brothers, so we're evenly matched in every way. "

William looked at him, his smile dissipating, suddenly becoming very serious, like a miniature adult. "Just remember, I'm your only brother, your real brother. Don't consider that woman's child as your sibling."

Kane nodded. Having grown up in the Stirling family, he knew that fraternal relationships involving different mothers were more about competition than kinship.

How could they possibly get along when their mothers were rivals for their father's affection?

"Maybe it'll be a sister."

William's round eyes rolled thoughtfully, "If it's a sister, you'll be safe. You can even be nice to her."

He said, winking cunningly, his fingers interlaced supporting his chin, "Let's pray together. Dear God, Jesus, Holy Mary, may she give birth to only girls."

Aurelia came over, patting his head. She asked, "What are you up to, sweetie?"

"I'm praying," William said earnestly.

Aurelia chuckled, "Praying for what?"

William pulled a face. "Praying that Kane's stepmother gives birth to a girl."

Aurelia thought, "If it was a natural conception, having a girl was entirely possible, with a 50% chance."

Kane came over, taking William's hand, "We can pray together."

"Okay." William grinned, revealing a row of pearly white teeth.

Aron's mom often prayed to God, saying that as long as she was sincere, God would surely listen.

Leopold stood outside the children's cabin, overhearing their conversation.

He did quite like William.

Despite William's sharp tongue and cunning mind, and his occasional hostility, he found William endearing, like an imp.

Every time he saw him, he couldn't help but see Liam, forgetting that he was actually Aurelia and Arnold's child.

If Liam were still alive, perhaps he'd be like William.
