The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 417

Her tone was sharp, like steel needles, relentlessly piercing into Leopold's chest, turning his heart into a sieve full of holes.

The thought of Elvis coveting her behind the scenes made him more irritable.

"Are you secretly looking for a new catch behind my back?"

She scoffed. "What if I am? What if I'm not? What's it to you?"

What she hated the most was his double standards. It was okay for him to mess around with other women, but not for her to be friends with another man.

He could do as he pleased, yet he imposed all the prohibitions on her.

Leopold walked over, looking down at her from a high position. "Don't blame me for not warning you. In the Stirling family, only men can sleep around, but women must adhere to the virtues of a wife."

"You're kicking me out, anyway. Why should I care about your 'virtues of a wife'?"

Aurelia put on a strange but cunning smile. "I've done a rough calculation. We've been married for four years. According to your rocket-speed income, I should be entitled to billions, right? The last time you gave me the divorce papers, I didn’t read them. I hope I won’t be shortchanged even a penny. Don’t think you can fool me when it's about money."

She leaned back on the sofa, sipping on her milk. "After the divorce, I'll be a billionaire, who is young and beautiful. The guys chasing me will be too many to count. I can have anyone I want. Even if you wanted me back, I wouldn't give you a second look."

A nerve in Leopold's heart was twitching violently.

Although he felt she was deliberately provoking him, one thing was undeniable. She wouldn’t be short of admirers. "If you truly love Kane, you should behave yourself."

He believed she was capable of doing it. There was nothing this audacious woman wouldn't do.

He took a deep breath, straightened up, walked to the table, poured a glass of water, and drank it all in one gulp, forcing himself to stay calm.

Soon, he had put away all his emotions and wore an icy expression.

"What about Arnold? I thought you loved him very much. Have you moved on so quickly?"

She heaved a heavy sigh. "I do love Arnold. He's wonderful. He's the one who loves me the most and treats me the best in this world. But he's already married now. We're destined to be star-crossed lovers."

She spoke with anger flashing across her face, "This is all your fault. If you had agreed to the divorce, I would have married Arnold long ago, returned to our home in Goldstone, and started a happy life again. He wouldn't have married someone else. You ruined my happiness. You're a jerk. So, don't expect to get what you want."
