The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 411

He stood by the bed, silently observing her delicate face bathed in the cool moonlight.

Every second, he felt an overwhelming urge to embrace her, to pull her into his arms. But he couldn't, he mustered all his strength to resist.

Aurelia hadn't fallen asleep, her mind was in turmoil.

This jerk, sneaking back in the middle of the night, even sneaking into her room. What was he up to?

The air was faintly sweet, she was certain it was the perfume of some Instagram model he'd been with.

Disgusting, utterly revolting. This wasn't just perfume, it was the scent of deceit. She felt nauseous.

In truth, it wasn't perfume, but the scent of his body wash. Leopold had taken a shower before coming in, knowing she despised the scent of other women's perfume on him.

Leopold's gaze fell on her tantalizing red lips, and he couldn't resist wanting a taste.

Subconsciously, he leaned in.

Aurelia's heart was aflame with anger, the flames quickly spreading to her brain until she could no longer suppress them. She abruptly opened her eyes.

His handsome face was only a centimeter away from hers, his lips almost touching hers.

Seeing her suddenly open her eyes, he was startled, his body seizing up. Aurelia was just as startled, not knowing what he intended to do.

Time seemed to stand still at that moment.

They looked at each other, their reflections filling each other's eyes; as if everything else in the room had vanished, leaving only him and her.

Their breaths mingled intimately.

Leopold desperately wanted to lean in and kiss her passionately. But in the end, he resisted, pulling himself upright.

Subconsciously, Aurelia pulled her blanket tighter, "What... are you doing in my room?"

Leopold's fiery gaze turned cold in an instant, "I thought Kane was here."

If she didn't care, she wouldn't mind.

"Stop struggling, it won't do you any good."

Aurelia smiled wryly, "Mr. Leopold, I thought you truly loved Megan, but it seems that's not the case."

Even if Megan was his beloved, it couldn't stop him from frolicking with other women. Men were truly ruthless, capable of separating their feelings from their physical needs.

Leopold stood by the bed, studying her.

His heart was small, it could only hold one woman, and all his emotions belonged to her. But he had to put on a mocking and cold tone, "I thought you were a woman who could let go, who could part on good terms, but it seems that's not the case."

She chuckled coldly, "People change."

She had been able to let go so easily before because she had no attachments, no constraints.
