After clocking out on Friday, Jelena came to take Aurelia to the annual jewelry party in high society soiree to let her hair down.
Aurelia had heard of this party, where the distinguished people of the upper class would flaunt their precious heirloom jewelry. If you didn’t possess any such piece, you didn’t make the guest list.
Jelena was wearing an eight-carat pear-shaped pink diamond necklace.
As a jewelry designer, Aurelia could tell at a glance that this was an expensive diamond.
“Jelena, your necklace is breathtaking.”
Jelena laughed. “I snagged it at an auction in Switzerland. It’s said to have been worn by a queen.”
“You little Rockefeller,” Aurelia teased.
Despite being a jewelry designer, Aurelia didn't own many pieces herself. She was just wearing her wedding ring gifted by Leopold for the night.
The ring’s red diamond was a unique treasure.
Red was the rarest color of diamonds, and this one had reached the highest grade in all aspects. It was perfectly cut into a heart shape, unmatched worldwide, and was priceless.
Entering the grand hall, she and Jelena found a quiet corner to sit in, not wanting to attract too much attention.
The socialites attending the party were all dazzling, an array of beauty.
Yet, Aurelia was the most stunning of all, catching glances instantly.
Elvis approached. “Do you mind if I join you, ladies?”
“Not at all.” Aurelia smiled slightly, introducing her companion, “This is my cousin, Jelena. Both of you are into fine jewelry. I think you’ll hit it off.”
Elvis greeted Jelena and took a seat on the couch across from them.
Elvis was astounded. Aurelia could accurately judge the diamond's grade with just her bare eyes, a feat many top appraisers couldn't achieve.
His eyes sparkled with an indescribable brilliance. “Once again, you've taken me by surprise. Indeed, I did pick the highest quality pair. I’m a businessman, but I always keep the best for myself.”
Aurelia returned the cufflinks to him.
The colored diamonds of a jewelry company were used for private customization for the ultra-rich and weren't seen on the market.
“For a jewelry designer, a party like this is fun.”
“I knew you would enjoy it. That’s why I brought you here to have fun.” Jelena chuckled.
Elvis let out a sigh. “If Mr. Leopold truly divorces you, it will undoubtedly be his loss.”
In his eyes, Megan couldn’t hold a candle to Aurelia. Despite being a wealthy heiress, Megan didn’t possess the qualities of a supportive spouse.
