The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 279

Leopold's face was slightly overcast.

She was probably hoping for a divorce to be with Arnold, wasn’t she?

When he entered the room, Jolin, quite wisely, left them alone.

Aurelia lay back on the bed and sighed, glancing at him, "When are we going to get the paperwork done?"

A flash of anger appeared on his face. Of course, she was thinking about that.

He walked over to the kitchen counter, got himself a glass of water, and took a large gulp to cool down.

"In the Stirling family, regardless of the type of marriage, once it's registered, it must follow the family rules. I am the current master of the Stirling family, and you are the matriarch. For a divorce between the master and the matriarch, we must hold a family meeting, with two-thirds of the family members approving, and there must be a serious fault on the part of the matriarch!”

His tone seemed casual, but every word was squeezed out through clenched teeth.

Aurelia was stunned, her long, thick eyelashes slowly drooping.

She had made a mistake, not protecting their child, an unforgivable one!

"Can we start the paperwork before the family meeting? Is that possible?"

His gaze hardened, icy and deep, "If the master violates the family rule, the punishment will be severe. You want me to be punished?"

Aurelia took a sharp breath. No wonder Mr. Chad had struggled to get a divorce. These procedures were too complicated.

"When are you planning to hold the family meeting?"

His deep eyes glinted, inscrutable.

"On the day of the baby's christening."

"Oh," she replied softly.

He was definitely more eager to divorce than she was, he just didn't show it.

After all, as the master of the family, he had to follow the rules.

"Mom, I didn't marry him out of love."

"Then who do you love, Arnold?" Jolin asked directly. She was most worried about Aurelia being indecisive between the two brothers.

Aurelia wanted to tell her about the medical accident and the arranged marriage, but she knew Leopold didn't want her to. Otherwise, he wouldn't have interrupted her at the hospital.

He had a bad temper, and she couldn't provoke him. She had to divorce peacefully.

"Mom, it has nothing to do with Arnold."

"That's good to hear. Although I really like Arnold, and he is a great guy, you are now married to his brother. You can't be involved with both!"

Jolin was clear, direct, and decisive.

Aurelia lowered her eyes, and her long, thick eyelashes cast a melancholic shadow.

Even if she didn't bring it up, Leopold would still want a divorce. After all, he was still in love with his sweetheart.
