Evelyn was embarrassed. How could she possibly drink that? She wasn't a fool.
She was waiting for Leopold to rescue her.
The party hall fell into an eerie silence, so quiet that one could almost hear a pin drop.
Aurelia's gaze fell on Leopold again. He was expressionless, his countenance inscrutable, as if he had donned a mask, hiding all emotions behind it. His unreadable demeanor made her shiver. Aurelia seriously suspected that he was silently warning her.
If she indeed let Evelyn drink, she would surely face severe punishment when they got back.
Recalling his fierce demeanor last time, she subconsciously touched her neck, shivering involuntarily.
Leopold caught her subtle movement, and he instantly thought of images of her kissed by him with a hint of a smirk.
Aurelia picked up a glass, poured some lemon juice, and handed it to Evelyn.
"Here, Ms. Evelyn, drink up."
Evelyn clenched her teeth in anger, "Aurelia, you're crossing the line."
Aurelia pouted, "Sawyer just drank a glass of kale juice, and I'm only asking you to drink a glass of lemon juice. Is that too much?"
She emphasized the words "a glass".
Evelyn shivered slightly, "Just one glass?"
"Or what?" Aurelia chuckled, "You thought you had to drink the whole pot? I'm saving that for later, I'm sure I'll win again. We're part of the same team, so we need to look out for each other, right?"
Evelyn was speechless, feeling like she was being fooled. Anger simmered within her.
Gritting her teeth, she drank the lemon juice. It was so sour, and it felt like her teeth were about to fall out.
Leopold's expression turned into a barely noticeable smirk. He knew Aurelia was toying with Evelyn again.
Fredric and Jelena came down from upstairs.
The game continued, and after several rounds, only four people remained: Fredric, Sheryl, Aurelia, and another man.
Sheryl certainly understood her meaning. Her lips trembled involuntarily.
The following moments were filled with agony for Sheryl. With every bite, she had to drink a mouthful of ice water. Her tears and mucus were flowing non-stop. It was miserable.
Jelena watched her, a grin playing on her lips, reveling in the satisfaction of taking down an enemy.
The final showdown was between Aurelia and Fredric.
Evelyn was dumbfounded. She never expected Aurelia to be so formidable. Was this just a streak of dumb luck?
Fredric looked at Aurelia, surprise written all over his face.
"Never thought the last one to compete against me would be you, Aurelia."
Aurelia grinned, "Please go easy on me, Mr. Fredric."
The two waged a fierce battle for two hours without a clear winner, although Aurelia gradually gained the upper hand. However, she couldn't maintain her advantage. After a moment of carelessness, she was defeated by Fredric.
