The CEO's Hidden Love: Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires novel Chapter 1742

The family really didn’t care whether they were having a boy or a girl; as long as the baby was healthy, that’s all that mattered.

“So, have you two thought about your wedding yet? Planning to do it here, or somewhere else?”

Karen’s questions were always a bit out of left field. “If you’re thinking about, say, the Bahamas or Hawaii, I need to start shopping for some flowy beach dresses!”

“That’s totally up to Felicity,” Miles replied, shrugging. “Wherever she wants to go, whenever she wants to marry me—I’m game.”

Not like Miles got much say in this, honestly. If he had it his way, he’d marry Felicity tomorrow just to put his mind at ease—no time for second thoughts or complications.

Even though Calvin had technically lost out to him, the guy was still lurking around, looking for any opportunity. And with Felicity being pregnant, Miles felt even less secure.

“Don’t make it sound like I’m some control freak,” Felicity shot back, looping her arm through her mom’s. “It’s just that you’re swamped at work! After the wedding, you probably won’t even have time for a honeymoon.”

She definitely didn’t want their once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon to be spent with him glued to his phone, answering work emails the whole time.

They’d thought about waiting, maybe until things at the Lopez Corporation calmed down a bit. But, of course, the projects just kept piling up. When was there ever time to breathe?

“If you just say the word, I’ll ditch all the work right now!” Miles promised.

At that, Jeffrey couldn’t help but jump in. “Ha! That’s classic Langston, just like your old man. Get a girlfriend and suddenly forget work even exists!”

He barely finished his sentence before Everett walked in from outside.

“Jeffrey, care to repeat that?” Everett asked, eyebrow raised.

“No, no, I’m good!” Jeffrey shook his head so fast he looked like a bobblehead. “Didn’t say a thing!”
