The Billionaire's True Heiress: From Fake Jewel to Real Crown novel Chapter 80

Shirley’s eyes went wide. “No way! Of course not!”

She shot back her answer so fast, all because she’d just spotted Cindy across the room.

Right now, Cindy was the one Shirley had her sights set on. The whole marriage thing with York looked like it was heading straight for Cindy.

As for Claire...

Well, Shirley had heard the latest gossip. Supposedly, Claire and her grandma got thrown out of a mall by security. Honestly, that was sad. Who would have thought that the almighty Claire would end up like this?

A secret sense of relief crept over Shirley. Suddenly, she didn’t feel quite so hostile toward Claire anymore.

“Shirley, did you eat yet?” Cindy called out, noticing that Shirley was only talking to Claire and not her.

Cindy had actually thought Shirley would come see her first. The fact that she went straight to Claire instead left Cindy feeling a little miffed.

“Not yet,” Shirley replied.

She’d planned to eat downstairs, but after hearing someone say Claire had gotten into a fight, she couldn’t help herself and rushed up to check out the drama.

“Why don’t you eat with us?” Cindy suggested, then turned to Molly. “Molly, you don’t mind if we have one more, right? This is my cousin Shirley.”

Molly definitely knew who Shirley was. That girl loved to throw her weight around, always showing off her connection to the James family.

But since Molly and Lance weren’t close, she never bothered trying to get on Shirley’s good side.

Now, with another person joining, Molly started to wonder if there’d be enough food to go around. Still, she put on a friendly face and invited Shirley anyway, even though it annoyed her deep down.

Claire, who knew all about Molly’s personality, just watched the whole thing with a hint of amusement in her eyes.

Before long, Claire and Sophia quickly finished their meal and headed to the office to find their teacher.

Darcey hadn’t even gotten a chance to eat yet. She was still holding her lunchbox when news of the fight reached her, so she sat in her office, waiting.
