The Billionaire's True Heiress From Fake Jewel to Real Crown novel Chapter 380

When Chrystal mentioned Hearth & Kettle, Ramsey immediately knew what she was talking about. He also knew that his grandfather had picked Jennifer to take over ages ago.

“Hearth & Kettle is Claire’s now,” Chrystal said. “If we want to keep working together for the long haul, shouldn’t we give Claire a little something extra?”

“Honestly, compared to everything Hearth & Kettle has brought the White family, one house doesn’t even matter,” she added. “And let’s not forget, Claire actually saved your grandfather’s life.”

Ramsey nodded, finally putting the pieces together. “Oh, that makes sense now.”

“Here, take the keys,” his mom said. “Go over, see what’s missing, and just get it all sorted for her.”

Chrystal trusted him with the whole thing. So the next day, Ramsey went to the house to figure out what they still needed and bought everything right away. Then he got Claire’s number from Jennifer and called to arrange giving her the keys in person.

Claire had been buried in extra lessons lately, so getting a call from Ramsey caught her off guard. When he showed up to hand her the keys, she honestly felt a bit embarrassed. Even though Pandora told her it was fine to accept a house from their family, Claire still thought it was a bit much, especially since the families were loosely related.

If it had been a stranger, Claire would’ve had no problem accepting gifts or even cash. Business was business, after all.

Ramsey had no idea what was running through her mind. He opened the front door and stepped aside with a little smile. “Come in, take a look. See if you like it.”

Ramsey, with his background in photography and his artist’s eye, could tell from Claire’s simple style that she didn’t go for anything too flashy. She had been the heiress to the James family, after all, so there was no doubt she had good taste.

He kept things simple but elegant. The house was dotted with tasteful little touches—a sleek vase on the table, some dried flowers in the display case. Every detail was put together with care, making the place feel warm and inviting.

Claire couldn’t find a single thing wrong. She honestly thought it was perfect.

“Trust me,” he said, “moving is all about picking the right day. Tomorrow is perfect, I’ll help you get everything settled in one shot.”

“And I might not cook as well as Jennifer, but I’m pretty good, thanks to my grandfather. Let me make you a housewarming lunch tomorrow and really fill this place with some happy vibes.”

Claire could feel his excitement. She nodded without a second thought. Honestly, neither she nor Pandora knew how to cook, so the idea of someone making lunch was a big bonus.

Edison heard about her moving and immediately stepped up to help, too. He didn’t try to talk her into staying at his place. The commute to class was a pain, and as a single guy, living with Claire too long would just get people talking.

If only for her reputation, Edison agreed she should move out. He helped Claire pack up, noticing she really didn’t have much stuff at all. Mostly clothes, and not much else.
