Lysander's eyes were deep and sharp as they could pierce through everything.
Leopold felt his heart jolt under the weight of his gaze, his breath hitched. His hand, resting on the couch, clenched tighter. Even his injured hand suspended around his neck clenched slightly into a fist.
The force from his fist tugged at his wound, causing a slight tear in his flesh. But he didn't even notice its pain.
His amber-colored eyes met Lysander's gaze in an adamant manner, refusing to allow any hint of guilt to reveal.
He didn't expect Lysander to see right through his thoughts.
The more it was like this, the more he could not lose his composure.
A second later, Leopold gritted his teeth in denial, "I didn't think that way. I'm a victim of this bombing incident too so I need answers! When does the Sinclair group plan to hold a board meeting to resolve this matter?"
Lysander's deep-set eyes stared at him for a few more seconds before casually looking away. He had given Leopold the opportunity to confess but he didn't take it.
So he didn't need to keep beating around the bush with him.
Lysander turned to David, "Show him the surveillance footage."
"Yes, Mr. Sinclair," David responded as he walked to the computer. He pulled open the office's curtain and turned on the projector.
The place Leopold was seated at was directly facing the projector screen which showed the interior of Leossa Electronics.
Following that was the video of Ethan, Betty, and Thalassa patrolling the electronics factory.
There was nothing peculiar about it, but then Leopold appeared on screen. He pulled Thalassa, who was trailing behind, behind a piece of machinery. The equipment blocked their bodies preventing the people in front from seeing them.
Ethan and Betty didn't notice anything amiss.
He remembered this scene. It was his first time cooperating with the Crawley Group. They needed 20,000 prototype machines and gave the production order to the Sinclair Group's Leossa Electronics.
To ensure the security of the factory, Ethan visited the factory with two secretaries to inspect the machines and the workers.
That day, Leopold happened to visit the factory. When he saw Thalassa, he couldn't help himself. He pulled Thalassa behind a machine and spoke to her.
He didn't expect that this scene would be caught on surveillance.
Leopold tried to maintain his composure; his fierce gaze met Lysander's as he announced, "Yes, I did speak to Thalassa that day! So what? You're accusing me of having something to do with the bombing just because of this?"
"It's not over yet; keep watching." Lysander shot him a glance, signaling him to continue watching the projection.
Another scene appeared on the screen, in which one worker was confessing, "It was our former boss Leopold who asked me to add phosphorus to the phones. He gave me fifty thousand dollars to do it. He said it was just to get compensation from the partners, that there wouldn't be any big problems; that's why I agreed. I was blinded by the money."
